From 945ffb60c11dfb228130f3f2bdde961cecb76671 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jens Axboe Date: Sat, 14 Jan 2017 17:11:11 -0700 Subject: mq-deadline: add blk-mq adaptation of the deadline IO scheduler This is basically identical to deadline-iosched, except it registers as a MQ capable scheduler. This is still a single queue design. This isn't always a good thing, since it means that we remove items that we could have potentially merged with. Change the function to dispatch single requests at the time. If we do that, we can backoff exactly at the point where the device can't consume more IO, and leave the rest with the scheduler for better merging and future dispatch decision making.
