* ASoC: samsung: smdk_wm8580: remove unused ‘bfs’Vinod Koul2016-12-151-4/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In smdk_hw_params(), 'bfs' is initialized and assigned bits based on params_width, but never used. We could have removed the whole switch case but then driver might be relying on checking bits, so I have kept the case for now. sound/soc/samsung/smdk_wm8580.c: In function ‘smdk_hw_params’: sound/soc/samsung/smdk_wm8580.c:35:6: warning: variable ‘bfs’ set but not used [-Wunused-but-set-variable] int bfs, rfs, ret; Signed-off-by: Vinod Koul <vinod.koul@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
* ASoC: samsung: smdk_wm8580: Remove old platforms and drop mach-types usageKrzysztof Kozlowski2016-11-221-27/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | MACH_SMDKC100, MACH_SMDKV210 and MACH_SMDKC110 are no longer supported so we can drop the dead code. After this the driver no longer differentiates between machines (S3C24xx machines are not supported by it) so there is no need to override I2S device id in cpu_dai_name and SEC_PLAYBACK dai_link can be removed as well. * ASoC: smdk_wm8580: Pass card DAPM context to snd_soc_dapm_disable_pin()Lars-Peter Clausen2015-01-161-4/+1
| | | | | | | | The "MicIn" widget is a card level DAPM element so pass the card's DAPM context instead of the CODEC's DAPM context to snd_soc_dapm_disable_pin(). Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
* ASoC: smdk_wm8580: Use static DAI format setupLars-Peter Clausen2015-01-061-15/+6
| | | | | | | | Set the dai_fmt field in the dai_link struct instead of manually calling snd_soc_dai_fmt(). This makes the code cleaner and shorter. Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
* ASoC: samsung: Use params_width()Tushar Behera2014-05-261-5/+3
| | | | | | | | | commit 8c5178fca4ce ("ALSA: Add params_width() helpers") introduces a helper to get the sample width. Updating Samsung related sound drivers to use this helper. Signed-off-by: Tushar Behera <tushar.behera@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
* ASoC: samsung: Rename samsung i2s secondary device namePadmavathi Venna2013-01-241-5/+2
| | | | | | | | | All Samsung SoCs has max 3 i2s controllers. So the i2s secondary fifo interface device id was named as samsung-i2s.4. Renaming this to "samsung-i2s-sec" to support device tree in i2s driver. Signed-off-by: Padmavathi Venna <padma.v@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
* ASoC: Samsung: Do not register samsung audio dma device as pdevPadmavathi Venna2012-12-071-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Previously, the ASoC 'platform' (PCM/DMA) object was instantiated via a platform_device. This didn't represent the hardware well, since there was no separate hardware associated with this platform_device; it was a virtual device with sole purpose to call snd_soc_register_platform(). This change removes the platform_device completely. Each Samsung DAI now registers the ASoC 'platform' itself. Machine drivers are adjusted for the new 'platform' name. * ASoC: Samsung: Update email id of the authorJaswinder Singh2012-02-291-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | I moved on from a great employer and the email-id no longer exists. Update email-id to a personal one, assuming I don't move on from myself anytime soon. And when I do, people don't get the eulogies bounced. Signed-off-by: Jaswinder Singh <jassisinghbrar@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
* ASoC: samsung: Add .owner to struct snd_soc_cardAxel Lin2011-12-221-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | Missed .owner of struct snd_soc_card will prevent the module from being removed from underneath its users. Reported-by: Lothar Waßmann <LW@KARO-electronics.de> Signed-off-by: Axel Lin <axel.lin@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
* sound: Add module.h to the previously silent sound usersPaul Gortmaker2011-10-311-0/+1
| | | | | | | | Lots of sound drivers were getting module.h via the implicit presence of it in <linux/device.h> but we are going to clean that up. So fix up those users now. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>

* ASoC: Remove redundant snd_soc_dapm_sync() calls from machine driversMark Brown2011-10-081-6/+0
| | | | | | | | | The core will sync DAPM as part of the card initialization, there is no need for machine drivers to do so during their setup. OMAP drivers are omitted as I know Peter already has patches for them. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>

* ASoC: SMDK_WM8580: Make I2S0 as default daiJassi Brar2010-12-201-7/+7
| | | | | | | | | | Since most newer SMDKs have I2S0 routed to the WM8580's Primary DAI, future changes can be minimized if the default CPU DAIs are set to 0, rather than 2.
