* net: Add export.h for EXPORT_SYMBOL/THIS_MODULE to non-modulesPaul Gortmaker2011-10-314-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | These files are non modular, but need to export symbols using the macros now living in export.h -- call out the include so that things won't break when we remove the implicit presence of module.h from everywhere. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Let's use the newly added helper to avoid stalls in drivers which are not yet ported to tty_port helpers. Those which are broken (call tty_wait_until_sent with irqs disabled) are left untouched. They are in a deeper trouble than we are trying to solve here. This includes amiserial, 68328serial, 68360serial and crisv10. Signed-off-by: Jiri Slaby <jslaby@suse.cz> Acked-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

* irda: prevent heap corruption on invalid nicknameDan Rosenberg2011-03-271-0/+3

| | | | | | | | | | We don't actually need this and it causes problems for internal use of this functionality. Currently there is a single use of the FILE * pointer. That is the serial core which uses it to check tty_hung_up_p. However if that is true then IO_ERROR is also already set so the check may be removed. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If the user-provided len is less than the expected offset, the IRLMP_ENUMDEVICES getsockopt will do a copy_to_user() with a very large size value. While this isn't be a security issue on x86 because it will get caught by the access_ok() check, it may leak large amounts of kernel heap on other architectures. In any event, this patch fixes it. | * | irda: Correctly clean up self->ias_obj on irda_bind() failure.David S. Miller2010-08-301-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If irda_open_tsap() fails, the irda_bind() code tries to destroy the ->ias_obj object by hand, but does so wrongly. In particular, it fails to a) release the hashbin attached to the object and b) reset the self->ias_obj pointer to NULL. Fix both problems by using irias_delete_object() and explicitly setting self->ias_obj to NULL, just as irda_release() does. Reported-by: Tavis Ormandy <taviso@cmpxchg8b.com> Signed-off-by: David S.
