* irda: Convert function pointer arrays and uses to constJoe Perches2014-12-101-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Making things const is a good thing. (x86-64 defconfig with all irda) $ size net/irda/built-in.o* text data bss dec hex filename 109276 1868 244 111388 1b31c net/irda/built-in.o.new 108828 2316 244 111388 1b31c net/irda/built-in.o.old Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. * irda: Convert IRDA_DEBUG to pr_debugJoe Perches2014-11-121-37/+34
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Use the normal kernel debugging mechanism which also enables dynamic_debug at the same time. Other miscellanea: o Remove sysctl for irda_debug o Remove function tracing like uses (use ftrace instead) o Coalesce formats o Realign arguments o Remove unnecessary OOM messages Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* irda: Remove IRDA_<TYPE> logging macrosJoe Perches2014-11-111-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | And use the more common mechanisms directly. Other miscellanea: o Coalesce formats o Add missing newlines o Realign arguments o Remove unnecessary OOM message logging as there's a generic stack dump already on OOM. * net/irda: Fix FSF address in file headersJeff Kirsher2013-12-061-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Several files refer to an old address for the Free Software Foundation in the file header comment. Resolve by replacing the address with the URL <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/> so that we do not have to keep updating the header comments anytime the address changes. * net: Add export.h for EXPORT_SYMBOL/THIS_MODULE to non-modulesPaul Gortmaker2011-10-311-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | These files are non modular, but need to export symbols using the macros now living in export.h -- call out the include so that things won't break when we remove the implicit presence of module.h from everywhere. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
* IRDA: Fix global type conflicts in net/irda/irsysctl.c v2Andi Kleen2011-09-161-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | The externs here didn't agree with the declarations in qos.c. Better would be probably to move this into a header, but since it's common practice to have naked externs with sysctls I left it for now. * [SK_BUFF]: Convert skb->tail to sk_buff_data_tArnaldo Carvalho de Melo2007-04-251-7/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | So that it is also an offset from skb->head, reduces its size from 8 to 4 bytes on 64bit architectures, allowing us to combine the 4 bytes hole left by the layer headers conversion, reducing struct sk_buff size to 256 bytes, i.e. 4 64byte cachelines, and since the sk_buff slab cache is SLAB_HWCACHE_ALIGN... :-) Many calculations that previously required that skb->{transport,network, mac}_header be first converted to a pointer now can be done directly, being meaningful as offsets or pointers. * [IRDA]: IrDA prototype fixesAdrian Bunk2005-09-051-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Every file should #include the header files containing the prototypes of it's global functions. In this case this showed that the prototype of irlan_print_filter() was wrong which is also corrected in this patch. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de> Signed-off-by: David S. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
