* [IPV6]: Consolidate common SNMP codeHerbert Xu2007-04-251-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch moves the non-proc SNMP code into addrconf.c and reuses IPv4 SNMP code where applicable. As a result we can skip proc.o if /proc is disabled. Note that I've made a number of functions static since they're only used by addrconf.c for now. If they ever get used elsewhere we can always remove the static. * [IPV6] ADDRCONF: Statically link __ipv6_addr_type() for sunrpc subsystem.YOSHIFUJI Hideaki2007-02-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | Link __ipv6_addr_type() statically for sunrpc code even if IPv6 is built as module. Signed-off-by: YOSHIFUJI Hidaki <yoshfuji@linux-ipv6.org>
* [NET]: Supporting UDP-Lite (RFC 3828) in LinuxGerrit Renker2006-12-021-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a revision of the previously submitted patch, which alters the way files are organized and compiled in the following manner: * UDP and UDP-Lite now use separate object files * source file dependencies resolved via header files net/ipv{4,6}/udp_impl.h * order of inclusion files in udp.c/udplite.c adapted accordingly [NET/IPv4]: Support for the UDP-Lite protocol (RFC 3828) This patch adds support for UDP-Lite to the IPv4 stack, provided as an extension to the existing UDPv4 code: * generic routines are all located in net/ipv4/udp.c * UDP-Lite specific routines are in net/ipv4/udplite.c * MIB/statistics support in /proc/net/snmp and /proc/net/udplite * shared API with extensions for partial checksum coverage [NET/IPv6]: Extension for UDP-Lite over IPv6 It extends the existing UDPv6 code base with support for UDP-Lite in the same manner as per UDPv4. In particular, * UDPv6 generic and shared code is in net/ipv6/udp.c * UDP-Litev6 specific extensions are in net/ipv6/udplite.c * MIB/statistics support in /proc/net/snmp6 and /proc/net/udplite6 * support for IPV6_ADDRFORM * aligned the coding style of protocol initialisation with af_inet6.c * made the error handling in udpv6_queue_rcv_skb consistent; to return `-1' on error on all error cases * consolidation of shared code [NET]: UDP-Lite Documentation and basic XFRM/Netfilter support The UDP-Lite patch further provides * API documentation for UDP-Lite * basic xfrm support * basic netfilter support for IPv4 and IPv6 (LOG target) Signed-off-by: Gerrit Renker <gerrit@erg.abdn.ac.uk> Signed-off-by: David S. * [IPV6]: Seperate sit driver to extra moduleJoerg Roedel2006-10-111-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | This patch removes the driver of the IPv6-in-IPv4 tunnel driver (sit) from the IPv6 module. It adds an option to Kconfig which makes it possible to compile it as a seperate module. * [XFRM]: BEET modeDiego Beltrami2006-10-041-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch introduces the BEET mode (Bound End-to-End Tunnel) with as specified by the ietf draft at the following link: http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-nikander-esp-beet-mode-06.txt The patch provides only single family support (i.e. inner family = outer family). * [XFRM] STATE: Introduce route optimization mode.Masahide NAKAMURA2006-09-221-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Route optimization is used with routing header and destination options header for Mobile IPv6. At outbound it makes header space like IPsec transport. At inbound it does nothing because exhdrs.c functions have responsibility to update skbuff information for these headers. * [IPSEC] xfrm: Abstract out encapsulation modesHerbert Xu2006-06-171-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds the structure xfrm_mode. It is meant to represent the operations carried out by transport/tunnel modes. By doing this we allow additional encapsulation modes to be added without clogging up the xfrm_input/xfrm_output paths. Candidate modes include 4-to-6 tunnel mode, 6-to-4 tunnel mode, and BEET modes. * [INET]: Introduce tunnel4/tunnel6Herbert Xu2006-03-281-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Basically this patch moves the generic tunnel protocol stuff out of xfrm4_tunnel/xfrm6_tunnel and moves it into the new files of tunnel4.c and tunnel6 respectively. The reason for this is that the problem that Hugo uncovered is only the tip of the iceberg. The real problem is that when we removed the dependency of ipip on xfrm4_tunnel we didn't really consider the module case at all. For instance, as it is it's possible to build both ipip and xfrm4_tunnel as modules and if the latter is loaded then ipip simply won't load. After considering the alternatives I've decided that the best way out of this is to restore the dependency of ipip on the non-xfrm-specific part of xfrm4_tunnel. This is acceptable IMHO because the intention of the removal was really to be able to use ipip without the xfrm subsystem. This is still preserved by this patch. So now both ipip/xfrm4_tunnel depend on the new tunnel4.c which handles the arbitration between the two. The order of processing is determined by a simple integer which ensures that ipip gets processed before xfrm4_tunnel. The situation for ICMP handling is a little bit more complicated since we may not have enough information to determine who it's for. It's not a big deal at the moment since the xfrm ICMP handlers are basically no-ops. In future we can deal with this when we look at ICMP caching in general. The user-visible change to this is the removal of the TUNNEL Kconfig prompts. This makes sense because it can only be used through IPCOMP as it stands. The addition of the new modules shouldn't introduce any problems since module dependency will cause them to be loaded. Oh and I also turned some unnecessary pskb's in IPv6 related to this patch to skb's. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [IPV6]: Fix modular build with netfilter enabled.David S. Miller2006-01-101-1/+2

* [IPV6]: Generalise tcp_v6_search_req & tcp_v6_synq_addArnaldo Carvalho de Melo2006-01-031-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | More work is needed tho to introduce inet6_request_sock from tcp6_request_sock, in the same layout considerations as ipv6_pinfo in inet_sock, next changeset will do that. * [INET6_HASHTABLES]: Move inet6_lookup functions to net/ipv6/inet6_hashtables.cArnaldo Carvalho de Melo2005-08-291-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | Doing this we allow tcp_diag to support IPV6 even if tcp_diag is compiled statically and IPV6 is compiled as a module, removing the previous restriction while not building any IPV6 code if it is not selected. Now to work on the tcpdiag_register infrastructure and then to rename the whole thing to inetdiag, reflecting its by then completely generic nature. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
