* net: gre: move GSO functions to gre_offloadDaniel Borkmann2013-07-031-514/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Similarly to TCP/UDP offloading, move all related GRE functions to gre_offload.c to make things more explicit and similar to the rest of the code. * ip_tunnel: push generic protocol handling to ip_tunnel module.Pravin B Shelar2013-06-191-1/+2
| | | | | | | | Process skb tunnel header before sending packet to protocol handler. this allows code sharing between gre and ovs gre modules. Signed-off-by: Pravin B Shelar <pshelar@nicira.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* gre: Allow multiple protocol listener for gre protocol.Pravin B Shelar2013-06-191-4/+217
| | | | | | | | | Currently there is only one user is allowed to register for gre protocol. Following patch adds de-multiplexer. So that multiple modules can listen on gre protocol e.g. kernel gre devices and ovs. Signed-off-by: Pravin B Shelar <pshelar@nicira.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* gso: Handle Trans-Ether-Bridging protocol in skb_network_protocol()Pravin B Shelar2013-05-081-7/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Rather than having logic to calculate inner protocol in every tunnel gso handler move it to gso code. This simplifies code. * gre: Fix GREv4 TCPv6 segmentation.Pravin B Shelar2013-05-031-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | For ipv6 traffic, GRE can generate packet with strange GSO bits, e.g. ipv4 packet with SKB_GSO_TCPV6 flag set. Therefore following patch relaxes check in inet gso handler to allow such packet for segmentation. This patch also fixes wrong skb->protocol set that was done in gre_gso_segment() handler. * GRE: Refactor GRE tunneling code.Pravin B Shelar2013-03-261-5/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Following patch refactors GRE code into ip tunneling code and GRE specific code. Common tunneling code is moved to ip_tunnel module. ip_tunnel module is written as generic library which can be used by different tunneling implementations. ip_tunnel module contains following components: - packet xmit and rcv generic code. xmit flow looks like (gre_xmit/ipip_xmit)->ip_tunnel_xmit->ip_local_out. - hash table of all devices. - lookup for tunnel devices. - control plane operations like device create, destroy, ioctl, netlink operations code. - registration for tunneling modules, like gre, ipip etc. - define single pcpu_tstats dev->tstats. - struct tnl_ptk_info added to pass parsed tunnel packet parameters. ipip.h header is renamed to ip_tunnel.h Signed-off-by: Pravin B Shelar <pshelar@nicira.com> Signed-off-by: David S. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | According to the previous discussion [1] on netdev list, DaveM insists we should increase the IP header ID for each segmented packets. This patch fixes it. * v4 GRE: Add TCP segmentation offload for GREPravin B Shelar2013-02-151-0/+118
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Following patch adds GRE protocol offload handler so that skb_gso_segment() can segment GRE packets. SKB GSO CB is added to keep track of total header length so that skb_segment can push entire header. e.g. in case of GRE, skb_segment need to push inner and outer headers to every segment. New NETIF_F_GRE_GSO feature is added for devices which support HW GRE TSO offload. Currently none of devices support it therefore GRE GSO always fall backs to software GSO. * Remove redundant linux/version.h includes from net/Jesper Juhl2011-06-211-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It was suggested by "make versioncheck" that the follwing includes of linux/version.h are redundant: /home/jj/src/linux-2.6/net/caif/caif_dev.c: 14 linux/version.h not needed. /home/jj/src/linux-2.6/net/caif/chnl_net.c: 10 linux/version.h not needed. /home/jj/src/linux-2.6/net/ipv4/gre.c: 19 linux/version.h not needed. /home/jj/src/linux-2.6/net/netfilter/ipset/ip_set_core.c: 20 linux/version.h not needed. /home/jj/src/linux-2.6/net/netfilter/xt_set.c: 16 linux/version.h not needed. and it seems that it is right. Beyond manually inspecting the source files I also did a few build tests with various configs to confirm that including the header in those files is indeed not needed. Here's a patch to remove the pointless includes. Signed-off-by: Jesper Juhl <jj@chaosbits.net> Acked-by: Jozsef Kadlecsik <kadlec@blackhole.kfki.hu> Signed-off-by: David S. * PPTP: PPP over IPv4 (Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol)Dmitry Kozlov2010-08-211-0/+151
PPP: introduce "pptp" module which implements point-to-point tunneling protocol using pppox framework NET: introduce the "gre" module for demultiplexing GRE packets on version criteria (required to pptp and ip_gre may coexists) NET: ip_gre: update to use the "gre" module This patch introduces then pptp support to the linux kernel which dramatically speeds up pptp vpn connections and decreases cpu usage in comparison of existing user-space implementation (poptop/pptpclient). There is accel-pptp project (https://sourceforge.net/projects/accel-pptp/) to utilize this module, it contains plugin for pppd to use pptp in client-mode and modified pptpd (poptop) to build high-performance pptp NAS. There was many changes from initial submitted patch, most important are: 1. using rcu instead of read-write locks 2. using static bitmap instead of dynamically allocated 3. using vmalloc for memory allocation instead of BITS_PER_LONG + __get_free_pages 4. fixed many coding style issues Thanks to Eric Dumazet.
