* [TIPC] Group protocols with sub-options in KconfigPer Liden2006-01-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | This is just a cosmetic change that moves the TIPC configuration entry next to the other protocols that also have sub-options. Makes the the networking options menu look a bit better. Signed-off-by: Per Liden <per.liden@ericsson.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Development to this point was done on a subversion repository at: http://oops.ghostprotocols.net:81/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/dccp-2.6/ This repository will be kept at this site for the foreseable future, so that interested parties can see the history of this code, attributions, etc. If I ever decide to take this offline I'll provide the full history at some other suitable place. | * [NETFITLER]: Add nfnetlink layer.Harald Welte2005-08-291-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Introduce "nfnetlink" (netfilter netlink) layer. This layer is used as transport layer for all userspace communication of the new upcoming netfilter subsystems, such as ctnetlink, nfnetlink_queue and some day even the mythical pkttables ;) Signed-off-by: Harald Welte <laforge@netfilter.org> Signed-off-by: David S. | * [NET]: Kconfig: NETCONSOLE and NETPOLL togetherRandy Dunlap2005-07-181-16/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Put NETCONSOLE and NETPOLL options together since they are related. This cuts down on the hassle of flipping back and forth between the Networking menu and the Network drivers menu to change their config settings. Tested with menuconfig, gconfig, and xconfig. gconfig has a small problem with this. I think that it's a bug in gconfig and I will take it up with Romain Lievin. | * [NET]: move config options out to individual protocolsSam Ravnborg2005-07-111-429/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Move the protocol specific config options out to the specific protocols. With this change net/Kconfig now starts to become readable and serve as a good basis for further re-structuring. The menu structure is left almost intact, except that indention is fixed in most cases. Most visible are the INET changes where several "depends on INET" are replaced with a single ifdef INET / endif pair. Several new files were created to accomplish this change - they are small but serve the purpose that config options are now distributed out where they belongs. | * [NET]: add a top-level Networking menu to *configSam Ravnborg2005-07-111-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Create a new top-level menu named "Networking" thus moving net related options and protocol selection way from the drivers menu and up on the top-level where they belong. To implement this all architectures has to source "net/Kconfig" before drivers/*/Kconfig in their Kconfig file. This change has been implemented for all architectures. Device drivers for ordinary NIC's are still to be found in the Device Drivers section, but Bluetooth, IrDA and ax25 are located with their corresponding menu entries under the new networking menu item. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
