* xen/9pfs: select CONFIG_XEN_XENBUS_FRONTENDArnd Bergmann2017-05-021-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | All Xen frontends need to select this symbol to avoid a link error: net/built-in.o: In function `p9_trans_xen_init': :(.text+0x149e9c): undefined reference to `__xenbus_register_frontend' Fixes: d4b40a02f837 ("xen/9pfs: build 9pfs Xen transport driver") Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Reviewed-by: Stefano Stabellini <sstabellini@kernel.org>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds a Kconfig option and Makefile support for building the 9pfs Xen driver. * net/9p: remove depends on CONFIG_EXPERIMENTALKees Cook2013-01-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | The CONFIG_EXPERIMENTAL config item has not carried much meaning for a while now and is almost always enabled by default. As agreed during the Linux kernel summit, remove it from any "depends on" lines in Kconfigs. CC: "David S. Miller" <davem@davemloft.net> Signed-off-by: Kees Cook <keescook@chromium.org> Acked-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* 9p: remove experimental tag from tested configurationsEric Van Hensbergen2011-05-251-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | The 9p client is currently undergoing regular regresssion and stress testing as a by-product of the virtfs work. I think its finally time to take off the experimental tags from the well-tested code paths. Signed-off-by: Eric Van Hensbergen <ericvh@gmail.com>
* 9p: disallow RDMA if RDMA CM isn't availableRoland Dreier2009-01-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If INET=y and INFINIBAND=y, but IPV6=m then INFINIBAND_ADDR_TRANS is set to n and the RDMA CM functions rdma_connect() et al are not built. However, the current config dependencies allow NET_9P_RDMA to be selected in this, which leads to a build failure. Fix this by adding a dependency on INFINIBAND_ADDR_TRANS to disallow NET_9P_RDMA in this case. * 9p: rdma: RDMA Transport Support for 9PTom Tucker2008-10-221-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | This patch implements the RDMA transport provider for 9P. It allows mounts to be performed over iWARP and IB capable network interfaces. Signed-off-by: Tom Tucker <tom@opengridcomputing.com> Signed-off-by: Latchesar Ionkov <lionkov@lanl.gov>
* 9p: fix error path during early mountEric Van Hensbergen2008-05-141-10/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | There was some cleanup issues during early mount which would trigger a kernel bug for certain types of failure. This patch reorganizes the cleanup to get rid of the bad behavior. This also merges the 9pnet and 9pnet_fd modules for the purpose of configuration and initialization. Keeping the fd transport separate from the core 9pnet code seemed like a good idea at the time, but in practice has caused more harm and confusion than good. * 9p: add virtio transportEric Van Hensbergen2007-10-231-0/+7

* typo fixesMatt LaPlante2007-10-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Most of these fixes were already submitted for old kernel versions, and were approved, but for some reason they never made it into the releases. Because this is a consolidation of a couple old missed patches, it touches both Kconfigs and documentation texts. * 9p: Make transports dynamicEric Van Hensbergen2007-10-171-0/+10
| | | | | | | | | This patch abstracts out the interfaces to underlying transports so that new transports can be added as modules. This should also allow kernel configuration of transports without ifdef-hell. Signed-off-by: Eric Van Hensbergen <ericvh@gmail.com>
* 9p: Reorganization of 9p file system codeLatchesar Ionkov2007-07-141-0/+21
This patchset moves non-filesystem interfaces of v9fs from fs/9p to net/9p. It moves the transport, packet marshalling and connection layers to net/9p leaving only the VFS related files in fs/9p. This work is being done in preparation for in-kernel 9p servers as well as alternate 9p clients (other than VFS).
