* mfd: syscon: Include errno.h from headerArnd Bergmann2016-04-111-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The syscon header uses the ENOTSUPP error constant, but doesn't include the header that defines it. This causes a build error after the imx pinctrl driver started using syscon: include/linux/mfd/syscon.h: In function 'syscon_node_to_regmap': include/linux/mfd/syscon.h:32:18: error: 'ENOTSUPP' undeclared (first use in this function) return ERR_PTR(-ENOTSUPP); ^~~~~~~~ This adds the missing #include. * mfd: syscon: Return ENOTSUPP instead of ENOSYS when disabledPhilipp Zabel2016-03-161-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | When CONFIG_MFD_SYSCON is disabled, have the function stubs return ENOTSUPP to indicate the syscon functionality is not available. There are currently no callers that depend on the ENOSYS return value. This patchfixes a checkpatch warning: WARNING: ENOSYS means 'invalid syscall nr' and nothing else Signed-off-by: Philipp Zabel <p.zabel@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
* mfd: syscon: Include linux/err.h to fix build errorTushar Behera2014-06-031-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit df73de9b0d412 ("mfd: syscon: Return -ENOSYS if CONFIG_MFD_SYSCON is not enabled") introduced fallbacks for APIs, but missed out on adding the header file. This would work only if linux/err.h is also included in the source code from where this file is included. It would be better to include linux/err.h in file to remove possible build errors. Without this patch, we get following and similar build errors if this header file is included in some source file and CONFIG_MFD_SYSCON is not enabled. include/linux/mfd/syscon.h: In function ‘syscon_node_to_regmap’: include/linux/mfd/syscon.h:30:2: error: implicit declaration of function ‘ERR_PTR’ [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration] return ERR_PTR(-ENOSYS); ^ include/linux/mfd/syscon.h:30:18: error: ‘ENOSYS’ undeclared (first use in this function) return ERR_PTR(-ENOSYS); ^ Signed-off-by: Tushar Behera <tushar.behera@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
* mfd: syscon: Return -ENOSYS if CONFIG_MFD_SYSCON is not enabledPeter Chen2013-10-231-0/+25
| | | | | | | | Some platforms may not define CONFIG_MFD_SYSCON (or haven't syscon), it can fix build error for these platforms. Signed-off-by: Peter Chen <peter.chen@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
* mfd: syscon: Add missing struct device_node declarationSylwester Nawrocki2013-04-091-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | syscon.h header uses struct device_node in functions' declarations without declaring it. This causes compilation warnings like: include/linux/mfd/syscon.h:20: warning: ‘struct device_node’ declared inside parameter list include/linux/mfd/syscon.h:20: warning: its scope is only this definition or declaration, which is probably not what you want Fix it by adding a forward declaration of struct device_node. * mfd: syscon: Add non-DT supportAlexander Shiyan2013-04-051-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch allow using syscon driver from the platform data, i.e. possibility using driver on systems without oftree support. For search syscon device from the client drivers, "syscon_regmap_lookup_by_pdevname" function was added. * mfd: Add syscon driver based on regmapDong Aisheng2012-09-171-0/+23
Add regmap based syscon driver. This is usually used for access misc bits in registers which does not belong to a specific module, for example, IMX IOMUXC GPR and ANATOP. With this driver, client can use generic regmap API to access registers which are registered into syscon.
