* [ARM] 4185/2: entry: introduce get_irqnr_preamble and arch_ret_to_userDan Williams2007-02-171-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | get_irqnr_preamble allows machines to take some action before entering the get_irqnr_and_base loop. On iop we enable cp6 access. arch_ret_to_user is added to the userspace return path to allow individual architectures to take actions, like disabling coprocessor access, before the final return to userspace. Per Nicolas Pitre's note, there is no need to cp_wait on the return to user as the latency to return is sufficient. * fix file specification in commentsUwe Zeisberger2006-10-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | Many files include the filename at the beginning, serveral used a wrong one. Signed-off-by: Uwe Zeisberger <Uwe_Zeisberger@digi.com> Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de>
* [ARM] Move FLUSH_BASE macros to asm/arch/memory.hRussell King2006-04-072-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | FLUSH_BASE must be visible to arch/arm/mm/init.c in order for the memory region to be setup. Move these definitions from asm-arm/arch-*/hardware.h into asm-arm/arch-*/memory.h where mm stuff can see them. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Fix decompressor serial IO to give CRLF not LFCRRussell King2006-03-281-11/+2
| | | | | | | | | As per the corresponding change to the serial drivers, arrange for ARM decompressors to give CRLF. Move the common putstr code into misc.c such that machines only need to supply "putc" and "flush" functions. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Move HZ definition into KconfigRussell King2006-03-211-5/+0
| | | | | | | Move the HZ definition into Kconfig, and set appropriate defaults for platforms. Remove mostly empty asm/arch/param.h include file. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3060/1: allow constants found in asm/memory.h to be used in asm codeNicolas Pitre2005-10-291-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Nicolas Pitre This patch allows for assorted type of cleanups by letting assembly code use the same set of defines for constant values and avoid duplicated definitions that might not always be in sync, or that might simply be confusing due to the different names for the same thing. Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@cam.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 1/4: Move include of asm/hardware.h to asm-arm/arch-*/io.hRussell King2005-10-281-0/+2
| | | | | | | Including asm/hardware.h into asm/io.h can cause #define clashes between platform specific definitions and driver local definitions. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] ARM: 2815/1: Shark: new defconfig, fixes with __io and serial portsAlexander Schulz2005-07-161-146/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from Alexander Schulz This patch brings a new default config file for the shark and fixes a compilation issue with io addressing and a runtime problem with the serial ports, where I corrected a wrong regshift value. These are all shark specific files so I hope it is ok to put them in one patch. Signed-off-by: Alexander Schulz <alex@shark-linux.de> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] ARM: cleanup vmalloc start/offset macrosRussell King2005-05-031-11/+0
| | | | | | | | VMALLOC_START and VMALLOC_OFFSET are common between all ARM machine classes. Move them into include/asm-arm/pgtable.h, but allow a machine class to override them if required. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
