* nfsd race fixes: reiserfsAl Viro2008-12-311-0/+8
| | | | | | | ... and the same for reiserfs. The difference here is that we need insert_inode_locked4() to match iget5_locked(). Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk>
* CRED: Wrap task credential accesses in the ReiserFS filesystemDavid Howells2008-11-141-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Wrap access to task credentials so that they can be separated more easily from the task_struct during the introduction of COW creds. Change most current->(|e|s|fs)[ug]id to current_(|e|s|fs)[ug]id(). Change some task->e?[ug]id to task_e?[ug]id(). In some places it makes more sense to use RCU directly rather than a convenient wrapper; these will be addressed by later patches. * header cleaning: don't include smp_lock.h when not usedRandy Dunlap2007-05-081-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Remove includes of <linux/smp_lock.h> where it is not used/needed. Suggested by Al Viro. Builds cleanly on x86_64, i386, alpha, ia64, powerpc, sparc, sparc64, and arm (all 59 defconfigs). * [PATCH] mark struct inode_operations const 3Arjan van de Ven2007-02-121-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | Many struct inode_operations in the kernel can be "const". Marking them const moves these to the .rodata section, which avoids false sharing with potential dirty data. In addition it'll catch accidental writes at compile time to these shared resources. * [PATCH] struct path: rename Reiserfs's struct pathJosef "Jeff" Sipek2006-12-081-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | Rename Reiserfs's struct path to struct treepath to prevent name collision between it and struct path from fs/namei.c. * BUG_ON conversion for fs/reiserfsEric Sesterhenn2006-10-031-6/+3
| | | | | | | | | | This patch converts several if () BUG(); construct to BUG_ON(); which occupies less space, uses unlikely and is safer when BUG() is disabled. S_ISREG() has no side effects, so the conversion is safe. Signed-off-by: Eric Sesterhenn <snakebyte@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de>
* [PATCH] r/o bind mounts: monitor zeroing of i_nlinkDave Hansen2006-10-011-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | Some filesystems, instead of simply decrementing i_nlink, simply zero it during an unlink operation. We need to catch these in addition to the decrement operations. * [PATCH] r/o bind mount prepwork: inc_nlink() helperDave Hansen2006-10-011-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | This is mostly included for parity with dec_nlink(), where we will have some more hooks. This one should stay pretty darn straightforward for now. * [PATCH] r/o bind mounts: unlink: monitor i_nlinkDave Hansen2006-10-011-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When a filesystem decrements i_nlink to zero, it means that a write must be performed in order to drop the inode from the filesystem. We're shortly going to have keep filesystems from being remounted r/o between the time that this i_nlink decrement and that write occurs. So, add a little helper function to do the decrements. We'll tie into it in a bit to note when i_nlink hits zero. * [PATCH] reiserfs: fix unaligned bitmap usageJeff Mahoney2006-03-021-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The bitmaps associated with generation numbers for directory entries are declared as an array of ints. On some platforms, this causes alignment exceptions. The following patch uses the standard bitmap declaration macros to declare the bitmaps, fixing the problem. Originally from Takashi Iwai. * reiserfs: run scripts/Lindent on reiserfs codeLinus Torvalds2005-07-121-1244/+1330
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This was a pure indentation change, using: scripts/Lindent fs/reiserfs/*.c include/linux/reiserfs_*.h to make reiserfs match the regular Linux indentation style. As Jeff Mahoney <jeffm@suse.com> writes: The ReiserFS code is a mix of a number of different coding styles, sometimes different even from line-to-line. Since the code has been relatively stable for quite some time and there are few outstanding patches to be applied, it is time to reformat the code to conform to the Linux style standard outlined in Documentation/CodingStyle. This patch contains the result of running scripts/Lindent against fs/reiserfs/*.c and include/linux/reiserfs_*.h. There are places where the code can be made to look better, but I'd rather keep those patches separate so that there isn't a subtle by-hand hand accident in the middle of a huge patch. To be clear: This patch is reformatting *only*. A number of patches may follow that continue to make the code more consistent with the Linux coding style. Hans wasn't particularly enthusiastic about these patches, but said he wouldn't really oppose them either. Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] quota: reiserfs: improve quota credit estimatesJan Kara2005-06-241-11/+14

* Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds2005-04-161-0/+1491
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
