* Watchdog: Fix parent of watchdog_devicesPratyush Anand2015-09-091-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | /sys/class/watchdog/watchdogn/device/modalias can help to identify the driver/module for a given watchdog node. However, many wdt devices do not set their parent and so, we do not see an entry for device in sysfs for such devices. This patch fixes parent of watchdog_device so that /sys/class/watchdog/watchdogn/device is populated. Exceptions: booke, diag288, octeon, softdog and w83627hf -- They do not have any parent. Not sure, how we can identify driver for these devices. * watchdog: fix set_timeout operationsWim Van Sebroeck2012-03-271-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | Since we changed the behaviour of the set_timeout operation in the watchdog API, we need to change the allready converted drivers so that they update the timeout field at the end of the set_timeout operation. Signed-off-by: Wim Van Sebroeck <wim@iguana.be>

* [PATCH 2/11] drivers/watchdog: Eliminate a NULL pointer dereferenceJulia Lawall2010-06-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | At the point of the call to dev_err, wm8350 is NULL. A simplified version of the semantic match that finds this problem is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @r exists@ expression E,E1; identifier f; statement S1,S2,S3; @@ if ((E == NULL && ...) || ...) { ... when != if (...) * [WATCHDOG] Add support for the WM8350 watchdogMark Brown2008-12-311-0/+329
This driver implements support for the watchdog functionality provided by the Wolfson Microelectronics WM8350, a multi-function audio and power management subsystem intended for use in embedded systems. It is based on a driver originally written by Graeme Gregory, though it has been extensively modified since then. Use of a GPIO to kick the watchdog is not yet supported.
