* staging: csr: remove func_exit_r macroDevendra Naga2012-10-291-69/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | this macro is used for debugging purposes, it actually defined as if (unifi_debug >= 5) { printk("unifi: <= %s %d\n", __FUNCTION__, (int)rc); } which produces too many of those prints if the unifi_debug is >=5. remove these calls and the macro itself altogether Signed-off-by: Devendra Naga <devendra.aaru@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

* staging:csr: remove usage of CsrSnprintf and use scnprintfDevendra Naga2012-08-161-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This change tries to achieve the removal of the csr driver defined snprintf and uses the kernel defined snprintf. After this change i got following build warnings, which are solved in this patch warnings generated: drivers/staging/csr/io.c:929:13: warning: format ‘%lu’ expects type ‘long unsigned int’, but argument 4 has type ‘u32’ drivers/staging/csr/io.c:929:13: warning: format ‘%lu’ expects type ‘long unsigned int’, but argument 5 has type ‘u32’ drivers/staging/csr/csr_wifi_hip_udi.c: In function ‘unifi_print_status’: drivers/staging/csr/csr_wifi_hip_udi.c:78:27: warning: format ‘%lu’ expects type ‘long unsigned int’, but argument 4 has type ‘u32’ drivers/staging/csr/csr_wifi_hip_udi.c:151:27: warning: format ‘%u’ expects type ‘unsigned int’, but argument 5 has type ‘long int’ drivers/staging/csr/csr_wifi_hip_udi.c:257:27: warning: format ‘%lu’ expects type ‘long unsigned int’, but argument 4 has type ‘u32’ drivers/staging/csr/csr_wifi_hip_udi.c:257:27: warning: format ‘%lu’ expects type ‘long unsigned int’, but argument 5 has type ‘u32’ drivers/staging/csr/csr_wifi_hip_udi.c:261:27: warning: format ‘%lu’ expects type ‘long unsigned int’, but argument 4 has type ‘u32’ Signed-off-by: Devendra Naga <develkernel412222@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* staging: csr: remove CsrPmemAllocGreg Kroah-Hartman2012-07-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It's just a wrapper around kmalloc(, GFP_KERNEL) + a call to panic() if we are out of memory, which is a very foolish thing to do (the panic that is.) So replace it with calls to kmalloc() and ignore the out-of-memory casese for now, odds are it will not be hit, and if it does, hey, we will end up panicing just the same as with the old code. * staging: csr: remove CsrMemAllocDma()Greg Kroah-Hartman2012-07-201-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | It's just a call to kmalloc(, GFP_KERNEL | GFP_DMA); But, all memory allocated by kmalloc can be DMAed, and that's not what GFP_DMA means, so remove that flag, and just call kmalloc(, GFP_KERNEL); Cc: Mikko Virkkilä <mikko.virkkila@bluegiga.com> Cc: Lauri Hintsala <Lauri.Hintsala@bluegiga.com> Cc: Riku Mettälä <riku.mettala@bluegiga.com> Cc: Veli-Pekka Peltola <veli-pekka.peltola@bluegiga.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* staging: csr: remove CsrMemAlloc()Greg Kroah-Hartman2012-07-201-9/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | It's just calling kmalloc(, GFP_KERNEL), so call that instead. A few places should be calling kzalloc(), so do that, and remove the call to memset at the same time. * staging: csr: remove CsrMemFree() and CsrMemFreeDma()Greg Kroah-Hartman2012-07-201-24/+10
| | | | | | | | | | They were just wrappers around kfree() so call that instead. * Staging: add CSR wifi moduleGreg Kroah-Hartman2012-06-191-0/+4128
This consists of two modules, the driver, and a "helper" module that is just a wrapper around common kernel functions. The wrapper module will be removed soon, but for now it's needed. These files were based on the csr-linux-wifi-5.0.3-oss.tar.gz package provided by CSR and Blue Giga, and is covered under the license specified in the LICENSE.txt file (basically dual BSD and GPLv2). The files were flattened out of the deep directory mess they were originally in, and a few EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL() were added in order for everything to link properly with the helper module setup.
