* s390: remove unneeded variablesPeter Senna Tschudin2015-08-071-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch remove unneeded variables used to store return values. These issues were detected with the Coccinelle script: scripts/coccinelle/misc/returnvar.cocci [heiko.carstens@de.ibm.com]: make qeth_l[2/3]_stop() return void Signed-off-by: Peter Senna Tschudin <peter.senna@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Heiko Carstens <heiko.carstens@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
* s390/eadm: change timeout valueSebastian Ott2014-12-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Tests have shown that 5 seconds is sometimes not enough for an IRQ to arrive (especially when the device is doing garbage collection). Let's wait a little longer. Signed-off-by: Sebastian Ott <sebott@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
* s390: cio driver &__get_cpu_var replacementsChristoph Lameter2014-08-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | Use this_cpu_ptr() instead of &__get_cpu_var() Signed-off-by: Christoph Lameter <cl@linux.com> Signed-off-by: Tejun Heo <tj@kernel.org>
* s390/lowcore: replace lowcore irb array with a per-cpu variableMartin Schwidefsky2014-05-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Remove the 96-byte irb array from the lowcore and create a per-cpu variable instead. That way we will pick up any change in the definition of the struct irb automatically. * s390/scm_block: do not hide eadm subchannel dependencySebastian Ott2013-11-151-8/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Stop hiding scm_block's dependency to the eadm subchannel driver (by using functions provided by the eadm subchannel instead of wrappers provided by the scm bus). This will help userspace recognizing module dependencies (e.g. for building a ramdisk). As a side effect we can get rid of some code reimplementing refcounting between those modules. * s390/eadm_sch: improve quiesce handlingSebastian Ott2013-10-241-2/+25
| | | | | | | | | When quiescing an eadm subchannel make sure that outstanding IO is cleared and potential timeout handlers are canceled. * s390/s390dbf: use debug_level_enabled() where applicableHendrik Brueckner2013-10-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Refactor direct debug level comparisons with the (internal) s390db->level member. Use the debug_level_enabled() function instead. Signed-off-by: Hendrik Brueckner <brueckner@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
* s390/irq: remove split irq fields from /proc/statHeiko Carstens2013-01-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that irq sum accounting for /proc/stat's "intr" line works again we have the oddity that the sum field (first field) contains only the sum of the second (external irqs) and third field (I/O interrupts). The reason for that is that these two fields are already sums of all other fields. So if we would sum up everything we would count every interrupt twice. This is broken since the split interrupt accounting was merged two years ago: 052ff461c8427629aee887ccc27478fc7373237c "[S390] irq: have detailed statistics for interrupt types". To fix this remove the split interrupt fields from /proc/stat's "intr" line again and only have them in /proc/interrupts. This restores the old behaviour, seems to be the only sane fix and mimics a behaviour from other architectures where /proc/interrupts also contains more than /proc/stat's "intr" line does. * s390/eadm_sch: add support for irq statisticsSebastian Ott2012-09-261-0/+3
| | | | | | | Add support for EADM interrupt statistics in /proc/interrupts. Signed-off-by: Sebastian Ott <sebott@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
* s390/cio: add eadm subchannel driverSebastian Ott2012-09-261-0/+398
This driver allows usage of EADM subchannels. EADM subchannels act as a communication vehicle for SCM increments. Signed-off-by: Sebastian Ott <sebott@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
