* PCI: hotplug: ensure a consistent return value in error caseJulia Lawall2012-07-161-4/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Typically, the return value desired for the failure of a function with an integer return value is a negative integer. In these cases, the return value is sometimes a negative integer and sometimes 0, due to a subsequent initialization of the return variable within the loop. A simplified version of the semantic match that finds this problem is: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) //<smpl> @r exists@ identifier ret; position p; constant C; expression e1,e3,e4; statement S; @@ ret = -C ... when != ret = e3 when any if@p (...) S ... when any if (\(ret != 0\|ret < 0\|ret > 0\) || ...) { ... return ...; } ... when != ret = e3 when any *if@p (...) { ... when != ret = e4 return ret; } //</smpl> [bhelgaas: squashed into one patch] Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com>
* module_param: make bool parameters really bool (drivers & misc)Rusty Russell2012-01-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int. In fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy trick. It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option. For this version it'll simply give a warning, but it'll break next kernel version. * PCI hotplug: remove redundant .owner initializationsKenji Kaneshige2009-06-161-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The "owner" field in struct hotplug_slot_ops is initialized by PCI hotplug core. So each hotplug controller driver doesn't need to initialize it. * PCI Hotplug: move pci_hotplug.h to include/linux/Greg Kroah-Hartman2006-10-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | This makes it possible to build pci hotplug drivers outside of the main kernel tree, and Sam keeps telling me to move local header files to their proper places... Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
