* PCI: Fix all whitespace issuesBogicevic Sasa2016-01-081-42/+42
| | | | | | | | | Fix all whitespace issues (missing or needed whitespace) in all files in drivers/pci. Code is compiled with allyesconfig before and after code changes and objects are recorded and checked with objdiff and they are not changed after this commit. * PCI: Whitespace cleanupRyan Desfosses2014-06-101-13/+13
| | | | | | | | | Fix various whitespace errors. No functional change. [bhelgaas: fix other similar problems] Signed-off-by: Ryan Desfosses <ryan@desfo.org> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com>
* PCI: hotplug: Use global PCI rescan-remove lockingRafael J. Wysocki2014-01-141-1/+7
| | | | | | | | | | Multiple race conditions are possible between PCI hotplug and the generic PCI bus rescan and device removal that can be triggered via sysfs. To avoid those race conditions make PCI hotplug use global PCI rescan-remove locking. Signed-off-by: Rafael J. Wysocki <rafael.j.wysocki@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com>
* PCI: Fix whitespace, capitalization, and spelling errorsBjorn Helgaas2013-11-141-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | Fix whitespace, capitalization, and spelling errors. No functional change. I know "busses" is not an error, but "buses" was more common, so I used it consistently. * PCI: Rename pci_remove_bus_device to pci_stop_and_remove_bus_deviceYinghai Lu2012-02-271-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The old pci_remove_bus_device actually did stop and remove. Make the name reflect that to reduce confusion. This patch is done by sed scripts and changes back some incorrect __pci_remove_bus_device changes. * PCI Hotplug: cpqphp: don't use pci_find_slot()Alex Chiang2009-06-111-5/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Convert uses of pci_find_slot to modern API. In the conversion sites, we end up calling pci_dev_put() right away. This may seem like it misses the entire point of doing something like pci_get_bus_and_slot(), since we drop the reference so soon, but it turns out we don't actually do much with the returned pci_dev. I plan on untangling cpqphp further, but clearly cpqphp never worried too much about a properly refcounted pci_dev anyway. For now, this conversion seems reasonable, as it gets rid of the last in-tree caller of pci_find_slot. * PCI Hotplug: cpqphp: eliminate dead code - PCI_ScanBusNonBridgeAlex Chiang2009-06-111-12/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | I have no clue what the original intent here was, but the code as written is useless. The old dbg() statement above the old callsite might lead one to think that at one point, there was supposed to be some recursion, but any sense of sanity here has been lost to the ravages of time. * PCI Hotplug: cpqphp: clean up accesses to pcibios_get_irq_routing_table()Alex Chiang2009-06-111-29/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of making multiple calls to pcibios_get_irq_routing_table, let's just do it once and save the answer. The reason we were making multiple calls is because we liked to calculate its length and perform some loop over it. Instead of open-coding the length calculation every time, provide it in an inline helper function. Finally, since pci_print_IRQ_route() is used only for debug, let's only do it when cpqhp_debug is set. * PCI Hotplug: cpqphp: refactor cpqhp_save_configAlex Chiang2009-06-111-91/+91
| | | | | | | | | Handle an empty slot at the top of the loop, and continue early. This allows us to un-indent the rest of the function by one level. Signed-off-by: Alex Chiang <achiang@hp.com> Signed-off-by: Jesse Barnes <jbarnes@virtuousgeek.org>

* PCI hotplug: cpqphp: use config space PCI interrupt pin encodingBjorn Helgaas2009-01-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch changes cpqphp to use interrupt pin values just as they come from PCI config space, i.e., 1=INTA, ..., 4=INTD. pcibios_set_irq_routing() takes pin arguments in the range 0=INTA, ..., 3=INTD, so we'll adjust the pin just before calling it. * x86, pci: move arch/x86/pci/pci.h to arch/x86/include/asm/pci_x86.hJaswinder Singh Rajput2008-12-291-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Impact: cleanup Now that arch/x86/pci/pci.h is used in a number of other places as well, move the lowlevel x86 pci definitions into the architecture include files. (not to be confused with the existing arch/x86/include/asm/pci.h file, which provides public details about x86 PCI) Tested on: X86_32_UP, X86_32_SMP and X86_64_SMP Signed-off-by: Jaswinder Singh Rajput <jaswinderrajput@gmail.com> Acked-by: Jesse Barnes <jbarnes@virtuousgeek.org> Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
