| * NFC: pn544: Drop two useless checks in ACPI probe pathMika Westerberg2016-03-031-13/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When pn544_hci_i2c_acpi_request_resources() gets called we already know that the entries in ->acpi_match_table have matched ACPI ID of the device. In addition I2C client pointer cannot be NULL in any case (otherwise I2C core would not call ->probe() for the driver in the first place). Drop the two useless checks from the driver. * nxp-nci: i2c: Do not check specifically for -EREMOTEIO errorFabio Estevam2015-11-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Function nxp_nci_i2c_write currently assumes in case of I2C bus NACK that the NFC device is in stand-by mode and will retry the I2C transaction after a pause. This assumes that the first failed I2C transaction will wake-up the device. This is done by checking on EREMOTEIO, which is wrong. According to Documentation/i2c/fault-codes ENXIO shall be used. Unfortunately the NOACK return code is currently inconsistent across various I2C host controller drivers. So only check for the generic error case instead. This is a temporary fix. As soon as all I2C bus master drivers are fixed to consistently return 'ENXIO', then we can do the specific error check again. | * | mei: bus: use mei_cldev_ prefix for the API functionsTomas Winkler2015-09-203-18/+19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Use mei_cldev_ prefix for all mei client bus api functions in order to resolve prefix conflict with functions that handle client function and are defined in client.c Signed-off-by: Tomas Winkler <tomas.winkler@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
| * | mei: bus: complete variable rename of type struct mei_cl_deviceTomas Winkler2015-09-204-25/+25
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In the commit 5c079ae11921 ("mei: bus: fix drivers and devices names confusion") we set the variables of type struct mei_cl_device to 'cldev' but few places were left out, namely mei_cl_bus.h header and the mei nfc drivers. | * | mei: bus: add client protocol version to the device aliasTomas Winkler2015-09-202-2/+2
| |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The device alias now looks like mei:S:uuid:N:* In that way we can bind different drivers to clients with different protocol versions if required. * | NFC: nfcmrvl: add firmware download supportVincent Cuissard2015-10-277-10/+718
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Implement firmware download protocol for Marvell NFC controllers. This protocol is based on NCI frames that's why parts of its implementation use some NCI generic functions.
