* iwlwifi: remove testmodeJohannes Berg2013-06-181-852/+0
| | | | | | | | The old nl80211 testmode is no longer useful in iwlwifi, we're moving towards a new model internally and there's no open tool to use it, so remove it. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: use kmemdup instead of kmalloc+memcpyAndrei Epure2013-03-201-2/+1

* iwlwifi: export symbols only conditionallyJohannes Berg2013-03-061-4/+5
| | | | | | | | | If all the pieces of iwlwifi are built into the kernel then there's no need for it to export its symbols to other modules, so prevent that. Reviewed-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: a few fixes in licenseEmmanuel Grumbach2013-03-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | 7000.c was released as GPL only by mistake: it should be dual licensed - GPL / BSD. The file that contains the license in the kernel is COPYING and not LICENSE.GPL. * iwlwifi: move register access lock into transportLilach Edelstein2013-02-011-13/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | Move the reg_lock that protects HW register access into the transport implementation. Locking is no longer exposed, but handled internally in grab and release NIC access. This simplifies the users. * iwlwifi: update copyrightJohannes Berg2013-01-241-2/+2

* iwlwifi: always check that grab_nic_access succeedsEmmanuel Grumbach2013-01-031-19/+25
| | | | | | | | This allows to let sparse check that the NIC access is always released. Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: virtualize SRAM accessEmmanuel Grumbach2013-01-031-4/+3
| | | | | | | | Different transports implement the access to the SRAM in different ways. Virtualize it. Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: virtualize iwl_{grab,release}_nic_accessEmmanuel Grumbach2013-01-031-4/+4
| | | | | | | | Since different transports have different ways to wake the up the NIC, we need to virtualize it. Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: iwl_{read,write}_targ_mem_words takes dwordsEmmanuel Grumbach2012-06-131-4/+4
| | | | | | | Change its name to better reflect this. Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: decouple testmode and iwl-testIlan Peer2012-06-111-39/+70
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The iwl-test flows were based on the cfg80211 testmode APIs. To remove this coupling, the op mode (during the initialization of the iwl_test object) is responsible to set the callbacks that should be used by iwl-test to allocate skbs for events and replies and to send events and replies. The current op modes implement these callbacks based on the cfg80211 testmode APIs. * iwlwifi: refactor testmodeIlan Peer2012-06-111-0/+825
Create an object that will enacpsulate the testmode functionality that is common to all op modes. * Copy definitions from dvm/dev.h * Copy the testmode logic from dvm/testmode.c * Link iwl-test object into the iwlwifi module * Modify DVM to use iwl-test object Reviewed-by: Amit Beka <amit.beka@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Ilan Peer <ilan.peer@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
