* iwlwifi: mvm: add rxf and txf to dump dataLiad Kaufman2015-01-221-0/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | When the FW is in error status - try to read the RXF and TXF (all of them) and add them to the dump data. This shouldn't happen in non-error statuses, as we don't want to stop the RXF/TXF while they are running. * iwlwifi: mvm: convert the SRAM dump to the generic memory dumpEmmanuel Grumbach2014-12-281-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | This allows to add the offset. The type of the generic memory dump will let the parser know that this is SRAM. Reviewed-by: Liad Kaufman <liad.kaufman@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: mvm: change SMEM dump to general purpose memory dumpEmmanuel Grumbach2014-12-281-2/+19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of adding a dump type for each type of memory, change the SMEM type to be a general purpose memory dump. Add the type of the memory and its offset in the device in the dump itself. This will allow an external parser to know where this memory came from. Note that since this type isn't really in use yet, this is not a real problem. Reviewed-by: Liad Kaufman <liad.kaufman@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: mvm: add smem content to dump dataLiad Kaufman2014-12-281-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | In NICs that have SMEM - add its content to the dump data for later debug. Signed-off-by: Liad Kaufman <liad.kaufman@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: pcie: add fh registers to dump dataLiad Kaufman2014-12-011-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | Adds all FH registers between FH_MEM_UPPER_BOUND and FH_MEM_LOWER_BOUND (which should be readable to the driver) to the dump data when it is collected. * iwlwifi: add Intel Mobile Communications copyrightJohannes Berg2014-09-031-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | Our legal structure changed at some point (see wikipedia), but we forgot to immediately switch over to the new copyright notice. For files that we have modified in the time since the change, add the proper copyright notice now. * iwlwifi: dump CSRs to fw-error-dumpEmmanuel Grumbach2014-07-221-2/+2
| | | | | | | | Add the Control Status Registers to the firmware error dump infrastructure. Reviewed-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: dump periphery registers to fw-error-dumpEmmanuel Grumbach2014-07-221-0/+13
| | | | | | | | | Use the fw-error-dump infrastructure to dump the periphery registers. Only certain ranges are readable, so dump only these. Reviewed-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: rename iwl_fw_error_fw_mon to iwl_fw_error_dump_fw_monEmmanuel Grumbach2014-07-061-2/+2
| | | | | | This is matches the convention of the other structures. Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: remove wrong comment about alignment in iwl-fw-error-dump.hEmmanuel Grumbach2014-07-061-2/+2
| | | | | | | The chunks of data do not need to be multipliers of 4 nor 4-bytes aligned. Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: pcie: add firmware monitor capabilitiesEmmanuel Grumbach2014-06-241-0/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This allows to use the firmware monitor. This capability uses a lot of contiguous memory (up to 64MB), so make its usage module parameter dependent. The driver will try to allocate as much contiguous memory as possible downgrading its requirements until the allocation succeeds. Dump this data into the fw-error dump file when an error happens. * iwlwifi: rename iwl_mvm_fw_error_next_dataEmmanuel Grumbach2014-06-241-2/+2
| | | | | | This is not related to mvm. Rename to iwl_fw_error_next_data. Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: add device / firmware to fw-error-dump fileEmmanuel Grumbach2014-06-241-0/+24
| | | | | | | | This can be useful later for parsing since the parsing may differ based on the device's family / bus. Also add the human readable version of the firmware. Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: mvm/pcie: capture last commands on firmware errorJohannes Berg2014-05-061-0/+134
