* wireless: remove WLAN_80211 and WLAN_PRE80211 from KconfigJohn W. Linville2009-10-301-1/+0
| | | | | | | With the WLAN_PRE80211 drivers moved to drivers/staging, this distinction becomes unnecessary. Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
* atheros: add common debug printingLuis R. Rodriguez2009-10-071-0/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | ath9k uses this for now, ath9k_htc is expected to re-use this as well. We lave ath5k as is, but it certainly can also be converted later. The ath9k module parameter and debugfs entry is kept. Signed-off-by: Luis R. Rodriguez <lrodriguez@atheros.com> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
* ath: add common ath_rxbuf_alloc() and make ath9k use itLuis R. Rodriguez2009-08-141-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Turns out ath5k and ath9k can share the same helper to allocates RX skbs. We allocate skbs aligned to the cache line size. This requirement seems to have come from AR5210; when this was not done it seems sometimes we'd get bogus data. I'm also told it may have been a performance enhancement consideration. In the end I can't be sure we can remove this on new hardware so just keep this and start sharing it through ath.ko. Make ath9k start using this, ath5k is next. Signed-off-by: Luis R. * ath: simplify kconfig dependency and add documentationLuis R. Rodriguez2009-08-041-2/+16
| | | | | | | | | Make atheros wireless drivers visible when you select "Atheros wirless drivers". Adds links to ath.ko page, and Atheros drivers page on the wiki. Signed-off-by: Luis R. Rodriguez <lrodriguez@atheros.com> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
* ath: depend on cfg80211Luis R. Rodriguez2009-08-041-0/+1
| | | | | | | The ath.ko module itself depends on cfg80211 Signed-off-by: Luis R. Rodriguez <lrodriguez@atheros.com> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
* Atheros Kconfig needs to be dependent on WLAN_80211Jay Sternberg2009-07-081-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Atheros top level menu needs a "depends WLAN_80211" to properly indent within menuconfig and xconfig interfaces. This is purely a visual issue but it effects all subsequent drivers. The issue is the top level menu does not include a dependency on WLAN_80211 so within the tree structure, Atheros is at the same level as WLAN_80211 but when WLAN_80211 collapsed, the menu disappears along with all subsequent drives, so it is really a subordinate. * atheros: introduce ath module containing common ath5k/ath9k/ar9170 codeBob Copeland2009-04-221-0/+4
This change creates a new module, ath.ko, which includes code that can be shared between ath5k, ath9k and ar9170. For now, extract most of the ath9k regulatory code so it can also be used in ath5k.
