* net/usb: Misc. fixes for the LG-VL600 LTE USB modemMark Kamichoff2011-11-141-14/+11
| | | | | | | | | Add checking for valid magic values (needed for stability in the event corrupted packets are received) and remove some other unneeded checks. Also, fix flagging device as WWAN (Bugzilla bug #39952). Signed-off-by: Mark Kamichoff <prox@prolixium.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* drivers/net: Add module.h to drivers who were implicitly using itPaul Gortmaker2011-10-311-0/+1
| | | | | | | | The device.h header was including module.h, making it present for most of these drivers. But we want to clean that up. Call out the include of module.h in the modular network drivers. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
* net/usb: Add IPv6 support to the LG-VL600 LTE USB modem driverMark Kamichoff2011-08-071-0/+19
| | | | | | | | | | The LG-VL600 LTE USB modem supports IPv6, but uses and expects an IPv4 ethertype (0x800) for these packets instead of the standard 0x86dd. This patch peeks at the IP version in the L3 header and sets the ethertype appropriately for IPv6 packets. Signed-off-by: Mark Kamichoff <prox@prolixium.com> Signed-off-by: David S. * net/usb: Ethernet quirks for the LG-VL600 4G modemAndrzej Zaborowski2011-03-301-0/+346
This adds a driver for the CDC Ethernet part of this modem. The device's ID is blacklisted in cdc_ether.c and is white-listed in this new driver because of the quirks needed to make it useful. The modem's firmware exposes a CDC ACM port for modem control and a CDC Ethernet port for network data. The descriptors look fine but both ports actually are some sort of multiplexers requiring non- standard headers added/removed from every packet or they get ignored. All information is based on a usb traffic log from a Windows machine. On the Verizon 4G network I've seen speeds up to 1.1MB/s so far with this driver, a speed-o-meter site reports 16.2Mbps/10.5Mbps. Userspace scripts are required to talk to the CDC ACM port. Signed-off-by: Andrzej Zaborowski <balrogg@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
