* mmc: atmel-mci: move atmel-mci-regs.h content in atmel-mci.cludovic.desroches@atmel.com2015-12-221-171/+0
| | | | | | | | | atmel-mci-regs.h is only included in atmel-mci.c so move its content in the driver and do some cleanup in these definitions to remove checkpatch errors. Signed-off-by: Ludovic Desroches <ludovic.desroches@atmel.com> Signed-off-by: Ulf Hansson <ulf.hansson@linaro.org>
* mmc: atmel-mci: use endian agnostic IOBen Dooks2015-03-251-2/+9
| | | | | | | | | Change the __raw IO functions to endian agnostic relaxed ones to allow the driver to function on big endian ARM systems. * mmc: atmel-mci: AP700x PDC is not connected to MCIHein_Tibosch2012-10-031-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Earlier, atmel-mci was adapted to make use of the peripheral DMA controller (PDC), in case normal DMA wouldn't work. ( http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel.mmc/9403 ) This works OK on ARM platforms (AT91), but it broke the driver for AVR32, the AP700x. Although the MCI has PDC support, the connection is not done for AVR chips. This patch makes the use of PDC depend on !CONFIG_AVR32. * mmc: atmel-mci: fix burst/chunk size modificationNicolas Ferre2012-06-061-0/+14
| | | | | | | | | | The use of DMA slave config operation requires that the burst size (aka chunk size) is specified through this interface. Modify atmel-mci slave driver to use this specification on its side. * mmc: atmel-mci: add support for odd clock dividersLudovic Desroches2012-04-051-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Add an odd clock divider capability available from v5xx. It also involves changing the clock divider calculation, and changing the switch-case statement to use top-down fallthrough. * mmc: atmel-mci: add pdc support and runtime capabilities detectionLudovic Desroches2011-10-261-0/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Add pdc support for atmel-mci. It makes at91-mci driver useless because it was only used for the old atmel MCI core which has pdc but no dma support. To allow removing at91-mci, the capabilities of the MCI core are detected at runtime -- then the driver will use pio, pdc or dma transfers. Warning: at91rm9200 is not supported, to support it we need to use swab32 on data but I have no board to test it. * mmc: atmel-mci: change atmci_readl and atmci_writel macrosLudovic Desroches2011-10-261-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Change atmci_readl and atmci_writel macros: remove string concatenation. We can use these macros with registers which are not prefixed by ATMCI_. This is the case if we want to write PDC registers which are common to several devices so they are not prefixed with ATMCI_. * atmel-mci: add MCI2 register definitionsNicolas Ferre2009-06-131-0/+22
| | | | | | | | | New revision of Atmel MCI interface adds new features. This is a update of register definition in header file. This new MCI IP is called MCI2. * atmel-mci: Integrate AT91 specific definition in header fileNicolas Ferre2009-06-131-0/+11
| | | | | | | | | The MCI IP is shared among AVR32 and AT91 SOCs. AT91 has specific bit definitions in the user interface of MCI SD/MMC IP. * atmel-mci: Platform code for supporting multiple mmc slotsHaavard Skinnemoen2008-10-051-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add the necessary platform infrastructure to support multiple mmc/sdcard slots all at once through a single controller. Currently, the driver will use the first valid slot it finds and stick with that, but later patches will add support for switching between several slots on the fly. Extend the platform data structure with per-slot information: MMC/SDcard bus width and card detect/write protect pins. This will affect the pin muxing as well as the capabilities announced to the mmc core. Note that board code is now required to supply a mci_platform_data struct to at32_add_device_mci(). * atmel-mci: Driver for Atmel on-chip MMC controllersHaavard Skinnemoen2008-07-151-0/+91
This is a driver for the MMC controller on the AP7000 chips from Atmel. It should in theory work on AT91 systems too with some tweaking, but since the DMA interface is quite different, it's not entirely clear if it's worth merging this with the at91_mci driver. This driver has been around for a while in BSPs and kernel sources provided by Atmel, but this particular version uses the generic DMA Engine framework (with the slave extensions) instead of an avr32-only DMA controller framework. This driver can also use PIO transfers when no DMA channels are available, and for transfers where using DMA may be difficult or impractical for some reason (e.g. the DMA setup overhead is usually not worth it for very short transfers, and badly aligned buffers or lengths are difficult to handle.) Currently, the driver only support PIO transfers. DMA support has been split out to a separate patch to hopefully make it easier to review. The driver has been tested using mmc-block and ext3fs on several SD, SDHC and MMC+ cards. Reads and writes work fine, with read transfer rates up to 3.5 MiB/s on fast cards with debugging disabled. The driver has also been tested using the mmc_test module on the same cards. All tests except 7, 9, 15 and 17 succeed. The first two are unsupported by all the cards I have, so I don't know if the driver handles this correctly. The last two fail because the hardware flags a Data CRC Error instead of a Data Timeout error. I'm not sure how to deal with that. Documentation for this controller can be found in many data sheets from Atmel, including the AT32AP7000 data sheet which can be found here: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/datasheets.asp?family_id=682 Signed-off-by: Haavard Skinnemoen <haavard.skinnemoen@atmel.com> Signed-off-by: Pierre Ossman <drzeus@drzeus.cx>
