* misc: sram: implement reserved sram areasHeiko Stübner2014-02-281-7/+118
| | | | | | | | | | This implements support for defining reserved areas as subnodes, to keep the genpool from using these. Suggested-by: Rob Herring <robherring2@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Heiko Stuebner <heiko@sntech.de> Tested-by: Ulrich Prinz <ulrich.prinz@googlemail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* misc: sram: cleanup the codeXiubo Li2014-02-071-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | Since the devm_gen_pool_create() is used, so the gen_pool_destroy() here is redundant. Signed-off-by: Xiubo Li <Li.Xiubo@freescale.com> Acked-by: Philipp Zabel <p.zabel@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* misc: sram: fix error path in sram_probeHeiko Stübner2013-07-241-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | The pool is created thru devm_gen_pool_create, so the call to gen_pool_destroy is not necessary. Instead the sram-clock must be turned off again if it exists. * Misc: sram: Remove unneeded checkAlexander Shiyan2013-06-171-5/+1
| | | | | | | | | Patch removes unneeded check for resource since devm_ioremap_resource do all for us. Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Acked-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* drivers: misc: use devm_ioremap_resource()Laurent Navet2013-05-161-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | Replace a call to deprecated devm_request_and_ioremap by devm_ioremap_resource. Found with coccicheck and this semantic patch: scripts/coccinelle/api/devm_request_and_ioremap.cocci. * misc: generic on-chip SRAM allocation driverPhilipp Zabel2013-04-291-0/+121
This driver requests and remaps a memory region as configured in the device tree. It serves memory from this region via the genalloc API. It optionally enables the SRAM clock. Other drivers can retrieve the genalloc pool from a phandle pointing to this drivers' device node in the device tree. The allocation granularity is hard-coded to 32 bytes for now, to make the SRAM driver useful for the 6502 remoteproc driver. There is overhead for bigger SRAMs, where only a much coarser allocation granularity is needed: At 32 bytes minimum allocation size, a 256 KiB SRAM needs a 1 KiB bitmap to track allocations.
