* memory_accessor: implement the new memory_accessor interfaces for SPI EEPROMsDavid Brownell2009-04-021-14/+44
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Define new setup() hook to export the accessor - Implement accessor methods Moves some error checking out of the sysfs interface code into the layer below it, which is now shared by both sysfs and memory access code. * memory_accessor: implement the new memory_accessor interface for I2C EEPROMKevin Hilman2009-04-021-13/+54
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In the case of at24, the platform code registers a 'setup' callback with the at24_platform_data. When the at24 driver detects an EEPROM, it fills out the read and write functions of the memory_accessor and calls the setup callback passing the memory_accessor struct. The platform code can then use the read/write functions in the memory_accessor struct for reading and writing the EEPROM. * eeprom/at24: Remove EXPERIMENTALWolfram Sang2009-03-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | This driver has been widely used since inclusion and no problems have been reported. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <w.sang@pengutronix.de> Cc: David Brownell <david-b@pacbell.net> Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org>
* eeprom: More consistent symbol namesJean Delvare2009-01-262-7/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | Now that all EEPROM drivers live in the same place, let's harmonize their symbol names. Also fix eeprom's dependencies, it definitely needs sysfs, and is no longer experimental after many years in the kernel tree. * i2c: Move old eeprom driver to /drivers/misc/eepromWolfram Sang2009-01-263-0/+269

* i2c: Move at24 to drivers/misc/eepromWolfram Sang2009-01-263-0/+612
As drivers/i2c/chips is going to go away, move the driver to drivers/misc/eeprom. Other eeprom drivers may be moved here later, too. Update Kconfig text to specify this driver as I2C. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <w.sang@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org>
