* V4L/DVB (11723): Link firmware to physical deviceJean Delvare2009-06-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Use the physical device rather than the i2c adapter as the reference device when loading firmwares. This will prevent the sysfs name collision with i2c-dev that has been reported many times. I may have missed other drivers which need the same fix. * V4L/DVB (10662): remove redundant memset after kzallocMatthias Schwarzott2009-03-301-4/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Hi there! While having a look at the allocation of struct dvb_frontend in *_attach functions, I found some cases calling memset after kzalloc. This is redundant, and the attached patch removes these calls. I also changed one case calling kmalloc and memset to kzalloc. * V4L/DVB (10413): Bug fix: Restore HVR-4000 tuning.Igor M. Liplianin2009-03-301-1/+6
| | | | | | | | | | Some cards uses cx24116 LNB_DC pin for LNB power control, some not uses, some uses it different way, like HVR-4000. Tested-by : Edgar Hucek <gimli@dark-green.com> Signed-off-by: Igor M. Liplianin <liplianin@me.by> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
* V4L/DVB (10268): Proper implement set_voltage in cx24116.Igor M. Liplianin2009-03-301-19/+32
| | | | | | | | | | | | Now there is a card, which uses cx24116 to control LNB DC voltage. It is DVBWorld DVBS2 PCI-e 2005. The patch is nedded to add support for that card. 1. Rename CMD_SET_TONEPRE to CMD_LNBDCLEVEL. 2. Fill set_voltage with actually control voltage code. 3. Correct set_tone to not affect voltage. Signed-off-by: Igor M. * V4L/DVB (9270): cx24116: optimise emulated auto-pilotChristophe Thommeret2008-10-171-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Christophe divulged the following: "Since 8PSK (and higher mod) signals are very likely to have pilot symbols, pilot_auto should start with pilot_on for 8PSK. And since QPSK signals are unlikely to have pilot, pilot_auto should start with pilot_off for QPSK. Without the patch: QPSK tuning delay: ~100ms 8PSK tuning delay: ~900ms with patch: QPSK tuning delay: ~100ms 8PSK tuning delay: ~100ms " This patch does as Cristophe asks. In emulated auto-pilot we choose pilot-on for tuning PSK_8 and pilot-off for tuning QPSK. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | cx24116 demod. Add some sanity checking to data input via S2API to the cx24116 demod. This patch is valid for both s2-mfe and s2. It was found when testing KAFFEINE with S2API support that invalid modulation modes amongst other parameters were being delivered to the demod. In order to debug this sanity checking has been added. An example session would involve kaffeine setting QAM_AUTO when querying DVB-T, then later when trying to tune to DVB-S this cached value would be presented in error.
