* [media] vp702x: use preallocated buffer in vp702x_usb_inout_cmdFlorian Mickler2011-05-201-4/+19
| | | | | | | | | | | | If we need a bigger buffer, we reallocte a new buffer and free the old one. Note: This change is tested to compile only as I don't have the hardware. * [media] vp702x: fix locking of usb operationsFlorian Mickler2011-05-201-7/+30
| | | | | | | | | | | | Otherwise it is not obvious that vp702x_usb_in_op or vp702x_usb_out_op will not interfere with any vp702x_usb_inout_op. Note: This change is tested to compile only, as I don't have the hardware. * [media] vp702x: get rid of on-stack dma buffersFlorian Mickler2011-05-201-17/+61
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | usb_control_msg initiates (and waits for completion of) a dma transfer using the supplied buffer. That buffer thus has to be seperately allocated on the heap. In lib/dma_debug.c the function check_for_stack even warns about it: WARNING: at lib/dma-debug.c:866 check_for_stack Note: This change is tested to compile only, as I don't have the hardware. * [media] vp702x: preallocate memory on device probeFlorian Mickler2011-05-201-7/+34
| | | | | | | | | | | | This sets up a buffer and a mutex protecting that buffer in the struct vp702x_device_state. The definition of struct vp702x_device_state is moved into the header in order to use the buffer also in the frontend. * [media] vp702x: rename struct vp702x_state -> vp702x_adapter_stateFlorian Mickler2011-05-201-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | We need a state struct for the dvb_usb_device. In order to reduce confusion we rename the vp702x_state struct. Signed-off-by: Florian Mickler <florian@mickler.org> Cc: Patrick Boettcher <pb@linuxtv.org> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>

* [media] rc: Name RC keymap tables as rc_map_tableMauro Carvalho Chehab2010-12-291-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remote keytables had different names all over the place. Part of the fault is due to a bad naming when rc subsystem was created, but there were lots of old names that were still here. Use a common standard for everything. Patch generated by this script: for i in `find drivers/staging -type f -name *.[ch]` `find include/media -type f -name *.[ch]` `find drivers/media -type f -name *.[ch]`; do sed s,ir_scancode,rc_map_table,g <$i >a && mv a $i; done for i in `find drivers/staging -type f -name *.[ch]` `find include/media -type f -name *.[ch]` `find drivers/media -type f -name *.[ch]`; do sed s,ir_codes_,rc_map_,g <$i >a && mv a $i; done for i in `find drivers/staging -type f -name *.[ch]` `find include/media -type f -name *.[ch]` `find drivers/media -type f -name *.[ch]`; do sed s,rc_key_map,rc_map_table,g <$i >a && mv a $i; done for i in `find drivers/staging -type f -name *.[ch]` `find include/media -type f -name *.[ch]` `find drivers/media -type f -name *.[ch]`; do sed s,rc_map_table_size,rc_map_size,g <$i >a && mv a $i; done Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
* V4L/DVB: dvb-usb: prepare drivers for using rc-coreMauro Carvalho Chehab2010-08-021-4/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | This is a big patch, yet trivial. It just move the RC properties to a separate struct, in order to prepare the dvb-usb drivers to use rc-core. There's no change on the behavior of the drivers. With this change, it is possible to have both legacy and rc-core based code inside the dvb-usb-remote, allowing a gradual migration to rc-core, driver per driver. * V4L/DVB: dvb-usb: get rid of struct dvb_usb_rc_keyMauro Carvalho Chehab2010-08-021-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | dvb-usb has its own IR handle code. Now that we have a Remote Controller subsystem, we should start using it. So, remove this struct, in favor of the similar struct defined at the RC subsystem. This is a big, but trivial patch. It is a 3 line delect, plus lots of rename on several dvb-usb files. * V4L/DVB: rename all *_rc_keys to ir_codes_*_nec_tableMauro Carvalho Chehab2010-05-191-6/+6
| | | | | | | Several DVB drivers use a different name convention. As we're moving the keytables, we need to use the same convention on all places. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
* V4L/DVB (12598): dvb-usb: store rc5 custom and data at the same fieldMauro Carvalho Chehab2009-09-121-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to be closer to V4L IR implementation, it is needed to replace u8 custom, data to: u16 scan This allows using non-rc5 mappings, like the 8 bit keycodes used on older protocols. It will also allow future implementations of rc6 keystrokes when needed. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
* V4L/DVB (7538): Adds selectable adapter numbers as per module optionJanne Grunau2008-04-241-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The adapter_nr module options can be used to allocate static adapter numbers on a driver level. It avoids problems with changing DVB apapter numbers after warm/cold boot or device unplugging and repluging. Each driver holds DVB_MAX_ADAPTER long array of the preferred order of adapter numbers. options dvb-usb-dib0700 adapter_nr=7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0 would result in a reversed allocation of adapter numbers. With adapter_nr=2,5 it tries first to get adapter number 2 and 5. If both are already in use it will allocate the lowest free adapter number. * V4L/DVB (4643): Multi-input patch for DVB-USB devicePatrick Boettcher2006-10-031-23/+26
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch is the first commit of the Multiple Input Patch for the DVB-USB frame work. It changes the DVB-USB-device to be able to have more than one streaming input (e.g. multiple DVB-T sources) on one device. This is a necessary feature for the upcoming DiB7700 driven devices.
