* [PATCH] Unlinline a bunch of other functionsArjan van de Ven2006-01-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Remove the "inline" keyword from a bunch of big functions in the kernel with the goal of shrinking it by 30kb to 40kb Signed-off-by: Arjan van de Ven <arjan@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Acked-by: Jeff Garzik <jgarzik@pobox.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] dm-crypt: zero key before freeing itStefan Rompf2006-01-061-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | Zap the memory before freeing it so we don't leave crypto information around in memory. * [PATCH] Use sg_set_buf/sg_init_one where applicableDavid Hardeman2005-10-301-8/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch uses sg_set_buf/sg_init_one in some places where it was duplicated. * [PATCH] gfp flags annotations - part 1Al Viro2005-10-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | - added typedef unsigned int __nocast gfp_t; - replaced __nocast uses for gfp flags with gfp_t - it gives exactly the same warnings as far as sparse is concerned, doesn't change generated code (from gcc point of view we replaced unsigned int with typedef) and documents what's going on far better. * [CRYPTO]: Use CRYPTO_TFM_REQ_MAY_SLEEP where appropriateHerbert Xu2005-09-011-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | This patch goes through the current users of the crypto layer and sets CRYPTO_TFM_REQ_MAY_SLEEP at crypto_alloc_tfm() where all crypto operations are performed in process context. * [PATCH] md: remove unneeded NULL checks before kfreeJesper Juhl2005-06-211-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | This patch removes some unneeded checks of pointers being NULL before calling kfree() on them. kfree() handles NULL pointers just fine, checking first is pointless. * [PATCH] mm: use __GFP_NOMEMALLOCNick Piggin2005-05-011-14/+5

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
