* Drivers: ide: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman2013-01-031-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. Cc: Bill Pemberton <wfp5p@virginia.edu> Cc: "David S. * module_param: make bool parameters really bool (drivers & misc)Rusty Russell2012-01-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int. In fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy trick. It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option. For this version it'll simply give a warning, but it'll break next kernel version. * pata_piccolo: Driver for old Toshiba chipsetsAlan Cox2009-12-031-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | We were never able to get docs for this out of Toshiba for years. Dave Barnes produced a NetBSD driver however and from that we can fill in the needed tables. As we correct the PCI identifiers a bit also update the old ide generic driver at the same time so it stays compiling. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We need to explicitly mark words 85-87 as valid ones since firmware doesn't do it. This should fix support for LBA48 and FLUSH CACHE [EXT] command which stopped working after we applied more strict checking of identify words in: commit 942dcd85bf8edf38cdc3745306ca250684d99a61 ("ide: idedisk_supports_lba48() -> ata_id_lba48_enabled()") and commit 4b58f17d7c45a8e5f4acda641bec388398b9c0fa ("ide: ide_id_has_flush_cache() -> ata_id_flush_enabled()") Reported-and-tested-by: "Trevor Hemsley" <trevor.hemsley@ntlworld.com> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <bzolnier@gmail.com>
