* hwmon: convert drivers/hwmon/* to use module_spi_driver()Axel Lin2012-03-181-12/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch converts the drivers in drivers/hwmon/* to use the module_spi_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit simpler. * hwmon: Remove redundant spi driver bus initializationLars-Peter Clausen2011-11-251-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In ancient times it was necessary to manually initialize the bus field of an spi_driver to spi_bus_type. These days this is done in spi_register_driver(), so we can drop the manual assignment. The patch was generated using the following coccinelle semantic patch: // <smpl> @@ identifier _driver; @@ struct spi_driver _driver = { .driver = { - .bus = &spi_bus_type, }, }; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Cc: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org> Cc: Guenter Roeck <guenter.roeck@ericsson.com> Cc: lm-sensors@lm-sensors.org Signed-off-by: Guenter Roeck <guenter.roeck@ericsson.com>
* hwmon: (ads7871) Fix ads7871_probe error pathsAxel Lin2010-08-251-19/+19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 1. remove 'status' variable 2. remove unneeded initialization of 'err' variable 3. return missing error code if sysfs_create_group fail. 4. fix the init sequence as: - check hardware existence - kzalloc for ads7871_data - sysfs_create_group - hwmon_device_register Signed-off-by: Axel Lin <axel.lin@gmail.com> Cc: stable@kernel.org Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org>
