Pointer for Markus's image conversion work.
We need this so we can merge all the pretty drm graphs for 4.12.

Pull sched.h split-up from Ingo Molnar:
"The point of these changes is to significantly reduce the
<linux/sched.h> header footprint, to speed up the kernel build and to
have a cleaner header structure.
After these changes the new <linux/sched.h>'s typical preprocessed
size goes down from a previous ~0.68 MB (~22K lines) to ~0.45 MB (~15K
lines), which is around 40% faster to build on typical configs.
Not much changed from the last version (-v2) posted three weeks ago: I
eliminated quirks, backmerged fixes plus I rebased it to an upstream
SHA1 from yesterday that includes most changes queued up in -next plus
all sched.h changes that were pending from Andrew.
I've re-tested the series both on x86 and on cross-arch defconfigs,
and did a bisectability test at a number of random points.
I tried to test as many build configurations as possible, but some
build breakage is probably still left - but it should be mostly
limited to architectures that have no cross-compiler binaries
available on kernel.org, and non-default configurations"

dependency
Instead of including the full <linux/signal.h>, we are going to include the
types-only <linux/signal_types.h> header in <linux/sched.h>, to further
decouple the scheduler header from the signal headers.
This means that various files which relied on the full <linux/signal.h> need
to be updated to gain an explicit dependency on it.
Update the code that relies on sched.h's inclusion of the <linux/signal.h> header.

<linux/sched/mm.h>
We are going to split <linux/sched/mm.h> out of <linux/sched.h>, which
will have to be picked up from other headers and a couple of .c files.
Create a trivial placeholder <linux/sched/mm.h> file that just
maps to <linux/sched.h> to make this patch obviously correct and
bisectable.
The APIs that are going to be moved first are:
mm_alloc()
__mmdrop()
mmdrop()
mmdrop_async_fn()
mmdrop_async()
mmget_not_zero()
mmput()
mmput_async()
get_task_mm()
mm_access()
mm_release()
Include the new header in the files that are going to need it.

We already have the helper, we can convert the rest of the kernel
mechanically using:
git grep -l 'atomic_inc_not_zero.*mm_users' | xargs sed -i 's/atomic_inc_not_zero(&\(.*\)->mm_users)/mmget_not_zero\(\1\)/'
This is needed for a later patch that hooks into the helper, but might
be a worthwhile cleanup on its own.

Apart from adding the helper function itself, the rest of the kernel is
converted mechanically using:
git grep -l 'atomic_inc.*mm_count' | xargs sed -i 's/atomic_inc(&\(.*\)->mm_count);/mmgrab\(\1\);/'
git grep -l 'atomic_inc.*mm_count' | xargs sed -i 's/atomic_inc(&\(.*\)\.mm_count);/mmgrab\(\&\1\);/'
This is needed for a later patch that hooks into the helper, but might
be a worthwhile cleanup on its own.

Fix typos and add the following to the scripts/spelling.txt:
aligment||alignment
I did not touch the "N_BYTE_ALIGMENT" macro in
drivers/net/wireless/realtek/rtlwifi/wifi.h to avoid unpredictable
impact.
I fixed "_aligment_handler" in arch/openrisc/kernel/entry.S because
it is surrounded by #if 0 ... #endif. It is surely safe and I
confirmed "_alignment_handler" is correct.
I also fixed the "controler" I found in the same hunk in
arch/openrisc/kernel/head.S.

->fault(), ->page_mkwrite(), and ->pfn_mkwrite() calls do not need to
take a vma and vmf parameter when the vma already resides in vmf.
Remove the vma parameter to simplify things.

git://people.freedesktop.org/~airlied/linux
Pull drm updates from Dave Airlie:
"This is the main drm pull request for v4.11.
Nothing too major, the tinydrm and mmu-less support should make
writing smaller drivers easier for some of the simpler platforms, and
there are a bunch of documentation updates.
Intel grew displayport MST audio support which is hopefully useful to
people, and FBC is on by default for GEN9+ (so people know where to
look for regressions). AMDGPU has a lot of fixes that would like new
firmware files installed for some GPUs.
Other than that it's pretty scattered all over.
I may have a follow up pull request as I know BenH has a bunch of AST
rework and fixes and I'd like to get those in once they've been tested

Pull sound updates from Takashi Iwai:
"Here is the update of sound bits for 4.11: again at this time, no big
changes in ALSA and ASoC core but only cosmetic changes like
consitifaction.
Meanwhile, quite a lot of developments are seen in a few driver side.
ALSA Core:
- Clean up, consitification of some ops
HD-audio:
- A slight behavior change of single_cmd option
- Quirks for AmigaOne X1000, Samsung Ativ Book 8, Dell AiO, ALC221
HP, and fixes for Lewisburg controller
- Realtek ALC299, ALC1220 codecs
Others:
- USB-audio: Tascam US-16x08 DSP mixer quirk
- Intel HDMI LPE audio support for Baytrail / Cherrytrail; this
contains some updates in drm/i915 for the new platform binding

The audio chicken bit (register offset 0x62f38) seems required to make
DP audio working on some machines. At least, on Dell Wyse 3040, I
failed to get the audio unless this bit is set once.
Strangely, the bit seems necessary only once, and it persists after
that, even some power-off cycles. The register is supposedly
write-only, so it's no evidence whether the bit keeps effect
persistently. But, judging from the experiment, it looks enough to
set it up once at the device initialization.
The patch is basically a cut from the original patch by Pierre-Louis
Bossart.
v1->v2: drop read since it's a write-only reg.

The pipe gets cleared to -1 for non-MST before the ELD audio
notification due to the MST audio support. This makes sense for
HD-audio that received the MST handling, but it's useless for LPE
audio. Handle the MST pipe hack conditionally only for HD-audio.

Enable unmute/mute amp notification. This doesn't seem to affect
HDMI support so this is done unconditionally.
An earlier version of this patch set a chicken bit at address 0x62F38
prior to the mute/unmute but this register doesn't seem to do anything
so this phase was removed.

If link training at a link rate optimal for a particular
mode fails during modeset's atomic commit phase, then we
let the modeset complete and then retry. We save the link rate
value at which link training failed, update the link status property
to "BAD" and use a lower link rate to prune the modes. It will redo
the modeset on the current mode at lower link rate or if the current
mode gets pruned due to lower link constraints then, it will send a
hotplug uevent for userspace to handle it.
This is also required to pass DP CTS tests 4.3.1.3, 4.3.1.4,
4.3.1.6.
v9:

link train fallback (Daniel Vetter)
v8:
* Set link_status to BAD first and then call mode_valid (Jani Nikula)
v7:

v6:

the helper intel_dp_link_rate_index (Jani Nikula)
* Include fallback within intel_dp_start_link_train (Jani Nikula)
v5:
* Move set link status to drm core (Daniel Vetter, Jani Nikula)
v4:
* Add fallback support for non DDI platforms too
* Set connector->link status inside set_link_status function
(Jani Nikula)
v3:
* Set link status property to BAd unconditionally (Jani Nikula)
* Dont use two separate variables link_train_failed and link_status
to indicate same thing (Jani Nikula)
v2:
* Squashed a few patches (Jani Nikula)

drm_debugfs_cleanup() now removes all minor->debugfs_list entries
automatically, so no need to do this explicitly. Additionally it
uses debugfs_remove_recursive() to clean up the debugfs files,
so no need for adding fake drm_info_node entries.

We're using non-canonical addresses in drm_mm, and we're making sure that
userspace is using canonical addressing - both in case of softpin
(verifying incoming offset) and when relocating (converting to canonical
when updating offset returned to userspace).
Unfortunately when considering the need for relocations, we're comparing
offset from userspace (in canonical form) with drm_mm node (in
non-canonical form), and as a result, we end up always relocating if our
offsets are in the "problematic" range.
Let's always convert the offsets to avoid the performance impact of
relocations.

The goal of the WARN was to catch when we are still actively using the
fence as we go into the runtime suspend. However, the reg->pin_count is
too coarse as it does not distinguish between exclusive ownership of the
fence register from activity.
I've not improved on the WARN, nor have we captured this WARN in an
exact igt, but it is showing up regularly in the wild:

Apparently there are machines out there with Skylake CPU and KabyPoint

paths that would do anything different between SunrisePoint and
KabyPoint PCHs, so it would seem okay to accept the combo without
warnings.

Commit 920cf4194954ec ("drm/i915: Introduce an internal allocator for
disposable private objects") introduced a regression for the kernel
running as Xen dom0: when switching to graphics mode a GPU HANG
occurred.
Reason seems to be a missing adaption similar to that done in
commit 7453c549f5f648 ("swiotlb: Export swiotlb_max_segment to users")
to i915_gem_object_get_pages_internal().
So limit the maximum page order to be used according to the maximum
swiotlb segment size instead to the complete swiotlb size.

On a non-llc system, the objects are created with .cache_level =
CACHE_NONE and so the transition to uncached for scanout is a no-op.
However, if the object was never written to, it will still be in the CPU
domain (having been zeroed out by shmemfs). Those cachelines need to be
flushed prior to display.

With atomic plane states we are able to track an allocation right from
preparation, during use and through to the final free after being
swapped out for a new plane. We can couple the VMA we pin for the
framebuffer (and its rotation) to this lifetime and avoid all the clumsy
lookups in between.

v3: Add a description for the vma destruction in

I've seen this trigger twice now, where the i915_gem_object_to_ggtt()
call in intel_unpin_fb_obj() returns NULL, resulting in an oops
immediately afterwards as the (inlined) call to i915_vma_unpin_fence()
tries to dereference it.
It seems to be some race condition where the object is going away at
shutdown time, since both times happened when shutting down the X
server. The call chains were different:
- VT ioctl(KDSETMODE, KD_TEXT):

- i915 unpin_work workqueue:

process_one_work+0x1f1/0x480
worker_thread+0x48/0x4d0
kthread+0x101/0x140
and this patch purely papers over the issue by adding a NULL pointer
check and a WARN_ON_ONCE() to avoid the oops that would then generally
make the machine unresponsive.
Other callers of i915_gem_object_to_ggtt() seem to also check for the
returned pointer being NULL and warn about it, so this clearly has
happened before in other places.
[ Reported it originally to the i915 developers on Jan 8, applying the
ugly workaround on my own now after triggering the problem for the
second time with no feedback.
This is likely to be the same bug reported as
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98829
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99134
which has a patch for the underlying problem, but it hasn't gotten to
me, so I'm applying the workaround. ]

Fences are required to support being released from under an atomic context.
The drm_atomic_state struct may take a mutex when being released and so
we cannot drop a reference to the drm_atomic_state from the fence release
path directly, and so we need to defer that unreference to a worker.

Parameters tile_size, tile_width and tile_height were passed in the
wrong order to _intel_adjust_tile_offset() when calculating the rotated
offsets.
This doesn't fix any user visible bug, since for packed formats new
and old offset are the same and the rotated offsets are within a tile
before they are fed to _intel_adjust_tile_offset(). In that case, the
offsets are unchanged. That is not true for planar formats, but those
are currently not supported.
