* drm/exynos: Use VIDEO_SAMSUNG_S5P_G2D=n as G2D Kconfig dependencyJavier Martinez Canillas2016-04-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit 254d4d111ee1 ("drm/exynos: Add dependency for G2D in Kconfig") made the DRM_EXYNOS_G2D symbol to only be selectable if the s5p-g2d V4L2 driver is not enabled, since both use the same HW IP block. But added the dependency as depends on !VIDEO_SAMSUNG_S5P_G2D which isn't correct since Kconfig expressions are not boolean but tristate. So it will only evaluate to 'n' if VIDEO_SAMSUNG_S5P_G2D=y but it will evaluate to m if VIDEO_SAMSUNG_S5P_G2D=m. This means that both the V4L2 and DRM drivers can be enabled if the former is enabled as a module, which is not what we want. * drm/exynos: fix error handling in exynos_drm_subdrv_openArnd Bergmann2016-04-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | gcc-6 warns about a pointless loop in exynos_drm_subdrv_open: drivers/gpu/drm/exynos/exynos_drm_core.c: In function 'exynos_drm_subdrv_open': drivers/gpu/drm/exynos/exynos_drm_core.c:104:199: error: self-comparison always evaluates to false [-Werror=tautological-compare] list_for_each_entry_reverse(subdrv, &subdrv->list, list) { Here, the list_for_each_entry_reverse immediately terminates because the subdrv pointer is compared to itself as the loop end condition. If we were to take the current subdrv pointer as the start of the list (as we would do if list_for_each_entry_reverse() was not a macro), we would iterate backwards over the &exynos_drm_subdrv_list anchor, which would be even worse. Instead, we need to use list_for_each_entry_continue_reverse() to go back over each subdrv that was successfully opened until the first entry. * drm/exynos: add DRM_EXYNOS_GEM_MAP ioctlJoonyoung Shim2016-03-133-0/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The commit d931589c01a2 ("drm/exynos: remove DRM_EXYNOS_GEM_MAP_OFFSET ioctl") removed it same with the ioctl that this patch adds. The reason that removed DRM_EXYNOS_GEM_MAP_OFFSET was we could use DRM_IOCTL_MODE_MAP_DUMB. Both did exactly same thing. Now we again will revive it as DRM_EXYNOS_GEM_MAP because of render node. * drm/exynos: use real device for DMA-mapping operationsMarek Szyprowski2016-03-017-46/+69
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch changes device pointer provided to all calls to DMA-mapping subsystem from the virtual exynos-drm 'device' to the real device pointer of one of the CRTC devices (decon, fimd or mixer). This way no more hacks will be needed to configure proper DMA-mapping address space on the common virtual exynos-drm device. This change also removes the need for some hacks in IOMMU related code. It also finally solves the problem of Exynos DRM driver not working on ARM64 architecture, which provides noop-based DMA-mapping operations for virtual platform devices. * drm/exynos: add exynos5420 support for fimdChanho Park2016-03-011-1/+30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds a exynos5420 driver data to support mic_bypass option to bypass the mic from display out path. The mic(Mobile image compressor) compresses RGB data from fimd and send the compressed data to the mipi dsi. The bypass option can be founded from system register and the bit is 11. The option bit has been introduced since exynos5420. The only difference between exynos5250 and exynos5420/exynos5422 is existence of the bit. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit a9fa852886fd ("drm/exynos: dp: add of_graph dt binding support for panel") made the Exynos DP DT binding more consistent since the OF graph could be used to lookup either a panel or a bridge device node. Before that commit, a panel would be looked up using a phandle and a bridge using the OF graph which made the DT binding not consistent. But the patch broke the later case since not finding a panel dev node would cause the driver's to do a probe deferral instead of attempting to lookup a bridge device node associated with the remote endpoint. So instead of returning a -EPROBE_DEFER if a panel is not found, check if there's a bridge and only do a probe deferral if both aren't found. | * drm/exynos: fix kernel panic issue at drm releasingInki Dae2016-01-133-0/+35
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch fixes a kernel panic issue which happened when drm driver is closed while modetest. This issue could be reproduced easily by launching modetest with page flip repeatedly. The reason is that invalid drm_file object could be accessed by send_vblank_event function when finishing page flip if the drm_file object was removed by drm_release and there was a pended page flip event which was already committed to hardware. So this patch makes the pended page flip event to be cancelled by preclose callback which is called at front of drm_release function. Changelog v2: - free vblank event objects belonging to the request process, increment event space and decrease pending_update when cancelling the event Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com> Reviewed-by: Daniel Stone <daniels@collabora.com> Acked-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel@ffwll.ch>
| * drm/exynos: crtc: do not wait for the scanout completionInki Dae2016-01-133-27/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes exynos_drm_crtc_complete_scanout function call which makes sure for overlay data to be updated to real hardware when drm driver is released. With atomic modeset support, it doesn't need the funtion anymore because atomic modeset interface makes sure that. Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com>
| * drm/exynos: mixer: properly update all planes on the same vblank eventMarek Szyprowski2016-01-131-9/+25
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch also moves mixer_vsync_set_update() to newly introduced mixer_atomic_begin/flush callbacks. This ensures that all mixer planes will be updated on the same vsync event. Signed-off-by: Marek Szyprowski <m.szyprowski@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com>
| * drm/exynos: crtc: rework atomic_{begin,flush}Marek Szyprowski2016-01-135-40/+32
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some CRTC drivers (like Exynos DRM Mixer) can handle blocking register updates only on per-device level, not per-plane level. This patch changes exynos_crts atomic_begin/atomic_flush callbacks to handle the entire crtc, instead of given planes, so driver can handle both cases on their own. | * drm/exynos: mixer: unify a check for video-processor windowMarek Szyprowski2016-01-131-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Always use macro instead of hard-coded '2' value in conditions related to video processor window. Additional checks are not needed, because video layer is registered only when video processor is available. | * drm/exynos: mixer: also allow ARGB1555 and ARGB4444Tobias Jakobi2016-01-131-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Allow the remaining alpha formats now that blending is properly setup. Signed-off-by: Tobias Jakobi <tjakobi@math.uni-bielefeld.de> Signed-off-by: Marek Szyprowski <m.szyprowski@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com>
| * drm/exynos: mixer: refactor layer setupMarek Szyprowski2016-01-132-0/+44
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Properly configure blending properties of given hardware layer based on the selected pixel format. Currently only per-pixel-based alpha is possible when respective pixel format has been selected. Configuration of global, per-plane alpha value, color key and background color will be added later. This patch is heavily inspired by earlier work done by Tobias Jakobi <tjakobi@math.uni-bielefeld.de>. | * drm/exynos: mixer: remove all static blending setupTobias Jakobi2016-01-131-23/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Previously blending setup was static and most of it was done in mixer_win_reset(). Signed-off-by: Tobias Jakobi <tjakobi@math.uni-bielefeld.de> Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com>
| * drm/exynos: mixer: set window priority based on zposMarek Szyprowski2016-01-132-18/+24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 'zpos' plane property is configurable, so adjust hardware layers priority based on the zpos value. 'zpos' value shifted by one can be used directly as hw priority value and stored to the registers, because mixer accepts priority values from 1 to 15 (0 means that layer is disabled). This patch also changes the default layer priority to match already exposed initial zpos values. The initial configuration is now: [top] video > gfx layer1 > gfx layer0 [bottom].
