* clk: bcm2835: probe for fixed-clock in device treeStephen Warren2013-01-141-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This will allow fixed-clocks to be registered in device tree, which in turn will allow clock clients to look up their clocks in device tree. The first driver to use this feature will be the bcm2835 SDHCI/MMC driver. In the long run, it is likely these fixed clocks will be replaced with an actual clock implementation which speaks to the VideoCore processor, but this change should be transparent to clock consumers. There's also a branch in here that enables Freescale i.MX to be part of the multiplatform support -- the first "big" SoC that is moved over (more multiplatform work comes in a separate branch later during the merge window)." Conflicts fixed as per Olof, including a silent semantic one in arch/arm/mach-omap2/board-generic.c (omap_prcm_restart() was renamed to omap3xxx_restart(), and a new user of the old name was added). * tag 'cleanup' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (189 commits) ARM: omap: fix typo on timer cleanup ARM: EXYNOS: Remove unused regs-mem.h file ARM: EXYNOS: Remove unused non-dt support for dwmci controller ARM: Kirkwood: Use hw_pci.ops instead of hw_pci.scan ARM: OMAP3: cm-t3517: use GPTIMER for system clock ARM: OMAP2+: timer: remove CONFIG_OMAP_32K_TIMER ARM: SAMSUNG: use devm_ functions for ADC driver ARM: EXYNOS: no duplicate mask/unmask in eint0_15 ARM: S3C24XX: SPI clock channel setup is fixed for S3C2443 ARM: EXYNOS: Remove i2c0 resource information and setting of device names ARM: Kirkwood: checkpatch cleanups ARM: Kirkwood: Fix sparse warnings. * | clk: fix return value check in bcm2835_init_clocks()Wei Yongjun2012-11-091-4/+4
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | In case of error, the function clk_register_fixed_rate() returns ERR_PTR() and never returns NULL. The NULL test in the return value check should be replaced with IS_ERR(). dpatch engine is used to auto generate this patch. * ARM: bcm2835: add stub clock driverSimon Arlott2012-09-191-0/+59
This patch adds a minimal stub clock driver for the BCM2835. Its sole purpose is to allow the PL011 AMBA clk_get() API calls to provide something that looks enough like a clock that the driver probes and operates correctly. This patch was extracted from git://github.com/lp0/linux.git branch rpi-split as of 2012/09/08, and modified as follows: * Reworked to call clk_register_fixed_rate(), and clk_register_clkdev() rather than using static data to represent the clocks. * Moved implementation to drivers/clk/. * Modified .dev_id for UART clocks to match UART DT node names. * s/bcm2708/bcm2835/. * Modified device tree vendor prefix.
