* drm: reorganise drm tree to be more future proof.Dave Airlie2008-07-141-181/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | With the coming of kernel based modesetting and the memory manager stuff, the everything in one directory approach was getting very ugly and starting to be unmanageable. This restructures the drm along the lines of other kernel components. It creates a drivers/gpu/drm directory and moves the hw drivers into subdirectores. It moves the includes into an include/drm, and sets up the unifdef for the userspace headers we should be exporting. Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
* drm: pcigart use proper pci map interfaces.Dave Airlie2008-06-191-5/+3
| | | | | | Switch to using more correct pci dma mapping interfaces. Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
* drm: Remove unneeded dma sync in ATI pcigart allocBenjamin Herrenschmidt2008-04-261-7/+0
| | | | | | | | Now that the ATI pcigart code uses dma_alloc_coherent, we don't need the dma_sync_single_for_device() that we used to have here. Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
* drm: fix for non-coherent DMA PowerPCBenjamin Herrenschmidt2008-03-301-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch fixes bits of the DRM so to make the radeon DRI work on non-cache coherent PCI DMA variants of the PowerPC processors. It moves the few places that needs change to wrappers to that other architectures with similar issues can easily add their own changes to those wrappers, at least until we have more useful generic kernel API. * drm/ati_pcigart: fix the PCIGART to use drm_pci to allocate GART table.Dave Airlie2008-03-171-69/+22
| | | | | | | This fixes a problem on 64-bit with 4GB with ATI RS690 chipsets. It makes sure the pcigart table is allocated in coherent memory for DMA operations. Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
* drm: cleanup DRM_DEBUG() parametersMárton Németh2008-02-071-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | As DRM_DEBUG macro already prints out the __FUNCTION__ string (see drivers/char/drm/drmP.h), it is not worth doing this again. At some other places the ending "\n" was added. airlied:- I cleaned up a few that this patch missed also Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@linux.ie>

* drm/radeon: upgrade to 1.27 - make PCI GART more flexibleDave Airlie2007-05-081-39/+45
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | radeon: make PCI GART aperture size variable, but making table size variable This is precursor to getting a TTM backend for this stuff, and also allows the PCI table to be allocated at fb 0 radeon: add support for reverse engineered xpress200m The IGPGART setup code was traced using mmio-trace on fglrx by myself and Phillip Ezolt <phillipezolt@gmail.com> on dri-devel. This code doesn't let the 3D driver work properly as the card has no vertex shader support. Thanks to Matthew Garrett + Ubuntu for providing me some hardware to do this work on. * [PATCH] drm fixup pci gart settingsDave Airlie2005-11-091-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Fix the PCIGART increment and add a cpu_to_le32 for ppc (untested) Paulus was unsure if we need to cpu_to_le32 but the old code was definitely wrong, so make it consistent and let the PPC guys figure it out later. | | | | | | | | | I've been threatening this for a while, so no point hanging around. This lindents the DRM code which was always really bad in tabbing department. I've also fixed some misnamed files in comments and removed some trailing whitespace. Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@linux.ie>
* drm: add radeon PCI express supportDave Airlie2005-09-111-33/+49

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
