* ACPICA: Divergence: remove unwanted spaces for typedefLv Zheng2016-05-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ACPICA commit b2294cae776f5a66a7697414b21949d307e6856f This patch removes unwanted spaces for typedef. This solution doesn't cover function types. Note that the linuxize result of this commit is very giant and should have many conflicts against the current Linux upstream. Thus it is required to modify the linuxize result of this commit and the commits around it manually in order to have them merged to the Linux upstream. Since this is very costy, we should do this only once, and if we can't ensure to do this only once, we need to revert the Linux code to the wrong indentation result before merging the linuxize result of this commit. * ACPICA: Add "root node" case to the ACPI name repair codeBob Moore2016-01-011-0/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | ACPICA commit 95b40b31aa8148629fbe5de0356725fc01298003 Special-case the namespace root node, it has an unusual name. This case can occur if there are errors during the execution of module-level code. * ACPICA: Cleanup use of all non-ANSI local C library functionsBob Moore2015-07-231-342/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ACPICA commit 7c490c28a18b435c543c6b410e7e7c2131fccc78 ACPICA implements all non-ANSI functions locally. However, there are sometimes two or more versions of the same function throughout the ACPICA code. This change fixes this. * ACPICA: De-macroize calls to standard C library functionsBob Moore2015-07-011-17/+16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ACPICA commit 3b1026e0bdd3c32eb6d5d313f3ba0b1fee7597b4 ACPICA commit 00f0dc83f5cfca53b27a3213ae0d7719b88c2d6b ACPICA commit 47d22a738d0e19fd241ffe4e3e9d4e198e4afc69 Across all of ACPICA. Replace C library macros such as ACPI_STRLEN with the standard names such as strlen. The original purpose for these macros is long since obsolete. Also cast various invocations as necessary. * ACPICA: Linuxize: Change indentation of C labels.Lv Zheng2013-10-311-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | It is reported by kernel build test systems that all ACPICA source files in the kernel tree have incorrect label indentation. * ACPICA: Add safe versions of common string functions.Bob Moore2013-10-301-0/+62
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This change adds and deploys "safe" versions of strcpy and strcat that ensure that the target buffer does not overflow. These safe functions are only helpful for processing user input and command lines. For most ACPICA code however, the required buffer length is precisely calculated before buffer allocation, so the use of these functions is unnecessary. ACPICA BZ 1043. This change only applies to the ACPICA utilities and the debugger, none of which are not shipped with the kernel yet, so the kernel's behavior remains unchanged after it. * ACPICA: Disassembler: Expand maximum output string length to 64KBob Moore2013-07-231-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | Was 256 bytes max. The original purpose of this constraint was to limit the amount of debug output. However, the string function in question (UtPrintString) is now used for the disassembler also, where 256 bytes is insufficient. Reported by RehabMan@GitHub. * ACPICA: Update interface to acpi_ut_valid_acpi_name()Bob Moore2013-06-161-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | Clean up the interface by making the input argument a char * string instead of a UINT32 name.
