* | x86, nmi_watchdog: Remove all stub function calls from old nmi_watchdogDon Zickus2010-11-181-2/+0
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that the bulk of the old nmi_watchdog is gone, remove all the stub variables and hooks associated with it. This touches lots of files mainly because of how the io_apic nmi_watchdog was implemented. Now that the io_apic nmi_watchdog is forever gone, remove all its fingers. Most of this code was not being exercised by virtue of nmi_watchdog != NMI_IO_APIC, so there shouldn't be anything to risky here. * ACPICA: Performance enhancement for namespace search and accessAlexey Starikovskiy2010-07-061-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This change enhances the performance of namespace searches and walks by adding a backpointer to the parent in each namespace node. On large namespaces, this change can improve overall ACPI performance by up to 9X. Adding a pointer to each namespace node increases the overall size of the internal namespace by about 5%, since each namespace entry usually consists of both a namespace node and an ACPI operand object. * ACPICA: Expand device initialization counters to 32 bitsBob Moore2010-07-061-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | Expand the various device initialization counters from 16-bit to 32-bit. Allows for very large namespaces. Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lin Ming <ming.m.lin@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>

* ACPICA: Truncate I/O addresses to 16 bits for Windows compatibilityMatthew Garrett2010-06-121-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | This feature is optional and is enabled if the BIOS requests any Windows OSI strings. It can also be enabled by the host OS. * ACPICA: Update all ACPICA copyrights and signons to 2010Bob Moore2010-01-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Add 2010 copyright to all module headers and signons, including the Linux header. This affects virtually every file in the ACPICA core subsystem, iASL compiler, and all utilities. * ACPICA: Add post-order callback to acpi_walk_namespaceLin Ming2009-11-241-3/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The existing interface only has a pre-order callback. This change adds an additional parameter for a post-order callback which will be more useful for bus scans. ACPICA BZ 779. Also update the external calls to acpi_walk_namespace. http://www.acpica.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=779 Signed-off-by: Lin Ming <ming.m.lin@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
* ACPICA: Windows compatibility: autoexecute root _INI methodBob Moore2009-09-081-0/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | Add support for execution of an _INI method at the namespace root. Although not defined in the ACPI specification, this support was added to Windows around the Vista timeframe. It is added here for Windows compatibility. Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lin Ming <ming.m.lin@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
