* ACPICA: Fix possible buffer overflow during a field unit read operationBob Moore2013-05-081-1/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Can only happen under these conditions: 1) The DSDT version is 1, meaning integers are 32-bits. 2) The field is between 33 and 64 bits long. It applies cleanly back to ACPICA 20100806+ (Linux v2.6.37+). * ACPICA: Fix broken call depth tracing logic.Lv Zheng2013-01-101-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch does not affect the generation of the Linux binary. This patch decreases 26 lines of 20121018 divergence.diff. The ACPICA uses a call depth tracing mechanism by wrapping the return statements with return macros and marking the entrance with ACPI_FUNCTION_TRACE_ macros. There are other ACPI_FUNCTION_ macros used to mark the functions not using this tracing mechanism. This patch fixes broken call depth tracing logic. * ACPICA: Fix indent caused divergences.Lv Zheng2012-11-151-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | New version of "indent" program will generate different outputs that will lead to the divergences between the Linux and the ACPICA. This patch fixes such divergences caused by the "indent" program. The version of the "indent" used for this patch is "GNU indent 2.2.11". This patch will not affect the generated vmlinux binary. This will decrease 581 lines of 20120913 divergence.diff. Signed-off-by: Robert Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lv Zheng <lv.zheng@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Rafael J. * ACPICA: AcpiSrc: Fix some translation issues for Linux conversionBob Moore2012-07-171-7/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fixes issues like this: i_aSL -> iASL 00-7_f -> 00-7F local_fADT -> local_FADT execute_oSI -> execute_OSI Also, in function headers, the parameters are now translated to lower case (with underscores if necessary.) * ACPICA: Revert "Revert "Enable multi-byte EC transfersBob Moore2010-10-011-25/+50
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This reverts commit f23b9c7(http://git.moblin.org/cgit.cgi/acpica/commit/?id=f23b9c7) The problem with this change was determined to be a problem with the FreeBSD host OSL (OS services layer), not with this patch itself. Therefore, re-introducing this change into the main ACPICA code. See ACPICA bugzilla 863. http://www.acpica.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=863 Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lin Ming <ming.m.lin@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
* ACPICA: Core: Replace all %d format specifiers with %u (unsigned)Bob Moore2010-07-061-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | With only a few exceptions, ACPICA does not use signed integers. Therefore, %d is incorrect. Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lin Ming <ming.m.lin@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
* ACPICA: Standardize integer output for ACPICA warnings/errorsBob Moore2010-04-201-8/+8

* ACPICA: Remove obsolete ACPI_INTEGER (acpi_integer) typeBob Moore2010-01-221-31/+26
| | | | | | | | | | | | This type was introduced as the code was migrated from ACPI 1.0 (with 32-bit AML integers) to ACPI 2.0 (with 64-bit integers). It is now obsolete and this change removes it from the ACPICA code base, replaced by u64. The original typedef has been retained for now for compatibility with existing device driver code. | | | | | | | | | | Add 2010 copyright to all module headers and signons, including the Linux header. This affects virtually every file in the ACPICA core subsystem, iASL compiler, and all utilities. * ACPICA: Simplify internal operation region interfaceBob Moore2009-05-271-9/+11
| | | | | | | | | | Changed address parameter to a simple offset. This removes the need for the caller to access the region object to obtain the physical address. * ACPICA: Remove obsolete acpi_os_validate_address interfaceBob Moore2009-03-271-6/+0
