* xtensa/PCI: get rid of device resource fixupsBjorn Helgaas2012-02-231-16/+1
| | | | | | | | Tell the PCI core about host bridge address translation so it can take care of bus-to-resource conversion for us. CC: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com>
* xtensa/PCI: convert to pci_scan_root_bus() for correct root bus resourcesBjorn Helgaas2012-01-061-43/+42
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Convert from pci_scan_bus() to pci_scan_root_bus() and remove root bus fixups. This fixes the problem of "early" and "header" quirks seeing incorrect root bus resources. This arch was unusual because it filled in bus->resource[0..3] in pcibios_init(), then overwrote them, applied io_space.offset and checked for unset resources in pcibios_fixup_bus(). I moved all of that to a new pci_controller_apertures() that we can use before scanning the root bus. * PCI: Xtensa: convert pcibios_set_master() to a non-inlined functionMyron Stowe2012-01-061-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch converts Xtensa's architecture-specific 'pcibios_set_master()' routine to a non-inlined function. This will allow follow on patches to create a generic 'pcibios_set_master()' function using the '__weak' attribute which can be used by all architectures as a default which, if necessary, can then be over- ridden by architecture-specific code. Converting 'pci_bios_set_master()' to a non-inlined function will allow Xtensa's 'pcibios_set_master()' implementation to remain architecture-specific after the generic version is introduced and thus, not change current behavior. No functional change. Signed-off-by: Myron Stowe <myron.stowe@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Jesse Barnes <jbarnes@virtuousgeek.org>
* resource/PCI: mark struct resource as constDominik Brodowski2010-02-221-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Now that we return the new resource start position, there is no need to update "struct resource" inside the align function. Therefore, mark the struct resource as const. * resource/PCI: align functions now return start of resourceDominik Brodowski2010-02-221-6/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | As suggested by Linus, align functions should return the start of a resource, not void. An update of "res->start" is no longer necessary. * [XTENSA] Move string-io functions to io.c from pci.cChris Zankel2007-08-271-69/+0
| | | | | | | The string-io functions (outs{bwl}, ins{bwl}) are independent from the PCI option and should be in a separate file. Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>

* [PATCH] mm: remove VM_LOCKED before remap_pfn_range and drop VM_SHMChristoph Lameter2006-06-251-12/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove VM_LOCKED before remap_pfn range from device drivers and get rid of VM_SHM. remap_pfn_range() already sets VM_IO. There is no need to set VM_SHM since it does nothing. VM_LOCKED is of no use since the remap_pfn_range does not place pages on the LRU. The pages are therefore never subject to swap anyways. Remove all the vm_flags settings before calling remap_pfn_range. After removing all the vm_flag settings no use of VM_SHM is left. Drop it.
