* xtensa: dispatch medium-priority interruptsMarc Gauthier2013-02-231-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | Add support for dispatching medium-priority interrupts, that is, interrupts of priority levels 2 to EXCM_LEVEL. IRQ handling may be preempted by higher priority IRQ. * xtensa: reorganize SR referencingMax Filippov2012-10-151-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | - reference SRs by names where possible, not by numbers; - get rid of __stringify around SR names where possible; - remove unneeded SR names from asm/regs.h; - add SREG_ prefix to remaining SR names; Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>

* atomic: cleanup asm-generic atomic*.h inclusionArun Sharma2011-07-261-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | After changing all consumers of atomics to include <linux/atomic.h>, we ran into some compile time errors due to this dependency chain: linux/atomic.h -> asm/atomic.h -> asm-generic/atomic-long.h where atomic-long.h could use funcs defined later in linux/atomic.h without a prototype. This patches moves the code that includes asm-generic/atomic*.h to linux/atomic.h. Archs that need <asm-generic/atomic64.h> need to select CONFIG_GENERIC_ATOMIC64 from now on (some of them used to include it unconditionally). Compile tested on i386 and x86_64 with allnoconfig. * atomic: move atomic_add_unless to generic codeArun Sharma2011-07-261-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is in preparation for more generic atomic primitives based on __atomic_add_unless. * atomic: use <linux/atomic.h>Arun Sharma2011-07-261-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This allows us to move duplicated code in <asm/atomic.h> (atomic_inc_not_zero() for now) to <linux/atomic.h> Signed-off-by: Arun Sharma <asharma@fb.com> Reviewed-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Cc: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Cc: David Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Cc: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Acked-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* atomic_t: Cast to volatile when accessing atomic variablesAnton Blanchard2010-05-171-1/+1
| | | | | | | | In preparation for removing volatile from the atomic_t definition, this patch adds a volatile cast to all the atomic read functions. Signed-off-by: Anton Blanchard <anton@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* asm-generic: rename atomic.h to atomic-long.hArnd Bergmann2009-06-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | The existing asm-generic/atomic.h only defines the atomic_long type. This renames it to atomic-long.h so we have a place to add a truly generic atomic.h that can be used on all non-SMP systems. | | | | | | | | | * git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/czankel/xtensa-2.6: xtensa: Update platform files to reflect new location of the header files. xtensa: switch to packed struct unaligned access implementation xtensa: Add xt2000 support files. xtensa: move headers files to arch/xtensa/include xtensa: use the new byteorder headers
* xtensa: move headers files to arch/xtensa/includeChris Zankel2008-11-061-0/+300
Move all header files for xtensa to arch/xtensa/include and platform and variant header files to the appropriate arch/xtensa/platforms/ and arch/xtensa/variants/ directories. Moving the files gets also rid of all uses of symlinks in the Makefile. This has been completed already for the majority of the architectures and xtensa is one out of six missing.
