Change HOST_EXTRACFLAGS to include arch/x86/include/uapi along
with include/uapi.
This looks more consistent, and this fixes "make bzImage" on my
old distro which doesn't have asm/bitsperlong.h in /usr/include/.

The existing clean-files rule was missing vdsox32.so and
vdsox32.so.dbg. We should really rename the intermediates to
allow a single rule to get them all.

The build-time tool arch/x86/vdso/vdso2c.c includes <linux/elf.h>,
but cannot find it, unless the build host happens to provide it.
It should be reading the uapi linux/elf.h

This patch adds arch specific code for kernel address sanitizer.
16TB of virtual addressed used for shadow memory. It's located in range
[ffffec0000000000 - fffffc0000000000] between vmemmap and %esp fixup
stacks.
At early stage we map whole shadow region with zero page. Latter, after
pages mapped to direct mapping address range we unmap zero pages from
corresponding shadow (see kasan_map_shadow()) and allocate and map a real
shadow memory reusing vmemmap_populate() function.
Also replace __pa with __pa_nodebug before shadow initialized. __pa with
CONFIG_DEBUG_VIRTUAL=y make external function call (__phys_addr)
__phys_addr is instrumented, so __asan_load could be called before shadow
area initialized.

Now that we can tolerate extra things dangling off the end of the
vdso image, we can strip the vdso the old fashioned way rather than
using an overcomplicated custom stripping algorithm.

DISABLE_BRANCH_PROFILING turns off branch profiling (i.e. a
redefinition of 'if'). Branch profiling depends on a bunch of
kernel-internal symbols and generates extra output sections, none of
which are useful or functional in the vDSO.
It's currently turned off for vclock_gettime.c, but vgetcpu.c also
triggers branch profiling, so just turn it off in the makefile.
This fixes the build on some configurations: the vdso could contain
undefined symbols, and the fake section table overflowed due to
ftrace's added sections.

With this change, doing 'make vdso_install' and telling gdb:
set debug-file-directory /lib/modules/KVER/vdso
will enable vdso debugging with symbols. This is useful for
testing, but kernel RPM builds will probably want to manually delete
these symlinks or otherwise do something sensible when they strip
the vdso/*.so files.
If ld does not support --build-id, then the symlinks will not be
created.
Note that kernel packagers that use vdso_install may need to adjust
their packaging scripts to accomdate this change. For example,
Fedora's scripts create build-id symlinks themselves in a different
location, so the spec should probably be updated to remove the
symlinks created by make vdso_install.

Fully stripping the vDSO has other unfortunate side effects:
- binutils is unable to find ELF notes without a SHT_NOTE section.
- Even elfutils has trouble: it can find ELF notes without a section
table at all, but if a section table is present, it won't look for
PT_NOTE.
- gdb wants section names to match between stripped DSOs and their
symbols; otherwise it will corrupt symbol addresses.
We're also breaking the rules: section 0 is supposed to be SHT_NULL.
Fix these problems by building a better fake section table. While
we're at it, we might as well let buggy Go versions keep working well
by giving the SHT_DYNSYM entry the correct size.
This is a bit unfortunate: it adds quite a bit of size to the vdso
image.
If/when binutils improves and the improved versions become widespread,
it would be worth considering dropping most of this.

"make vdso_install" installs unstripped versions of the vdso objects
for the benefit of the debugger. This was broken by checkin:
6f121e548f83 x86, vdso: Reimplement vdso.so preparation in build-time C
The filenames are different now, so update the Makefile to cope.
This still installs the 64-bit vdso as vdso64.so. We believe this
will be okay, as the only known user is a patched gdb which is known
to use build-ids, but if it turns out to be a problem we may have to
add a link.

The Go runtime has a buggy vDSO parser that currently segfaults.
This writes an empty SHT_DYNSYM entry that causes Go's runtime to
malfunction by thinking that the vDSO is empty rather than
malfunctioning by running off the end and segfaulting.
This affects x86-64 only as far as we know, so we do not need this for
the i386 and x32 vdsos.

There are no standard functions for littleendian data (unlike
bigendian data.) Thus, use <tools/le_byteshift.h> to access
littleendian data members. Those are fairly inefficient, but it
doesn't matter for this purpose (and can be optimized later.) This
avoids portability problems.

Currently, vdso.so files are prepared and analyzed by a combination
of objcopy, nm, some linker script tricks, and some simple ELF
parsers in the kernel. Replace all of that with plain C code that
runs at build time.
All five vdso images now generate .c files that are compiled and
linked in to the kernel image.
This should cause only one userspace-visible change: the loaded vDSO
images are stripped more heavily than they used to be. Everything
outside the loadable segment is dropped. In particular, this causes
the section table and section name strings to be missing. This
should be fine: real dynamic loaders don't load or inspect these
tables anyway. The result is roughly equivalent to eu-strip's
--strip-sections option.
The purpose of this change is to enable the vvar and hpet mappings
to be moved to the page following the vDSO load segment. Currently,
it is possible for the section table to extend into the page after
the load segment, so, if we map it, it risks overlapping the vvar or
hpet page. This happens whenever the load segment is just under a
multiple of PAGE_SIZE.
The only real subtlety here is that the old code had a C file with
inline assembler that did 'call VDSO32_vsyscall' and a linker script
that defined 'VDSO32_vsyscall = __kernel_vsyscall'. This most
likely worked by accident: the linker script entry defines a symbol
associated with an address as opposed to an alias for the real
dynamic symbol __kernel_vsyscall. That caused ld to relocate the
reference at link time instead of leaving an interposable dynamic
relocation. Since the VDSO32_vsyscall hack is no longer needed, I
now use 'call __kernel_vsyscall', and I added -Bsymbolic to make it
work. vdso2c will generate an error and abort the build if the
resulting image contains any dynamic relocations, so we won't
silently generate bad vdso images.
(Dynamic relocations are a problem because nothing will even attempt
to relocate the vdso.)

Pull x86 vdso changes from Peter Anvin:
"This is the revamp of the 32-bit vdso and the associated cleanups.
This adds timekeeping support to the 32-bit vdso that we already have
in the 64-bit vdso. Although 32-bit x86 is legacy, it is likely to
remain in the embedded space for a very long time to come.
This removes the traditional COMPAT_VDSO support; the configuration
variable is reused for simply removing the 32-bit vdso, which will
produce correct results but obviously suffer a performance penalty.
Only one beta version of glibc was affected, but that version was
unfortunately included in one OpenSUSE release.
This is not the end of the vdso cleanups. Stefani and Andy have
agreed to continue work for the next kernel cycle; in fact Andy has
already produced another set of cleanups that came too late for this
cycle.
An incidental, but arguably important, change is that this ensures
that unused space in the VVAR page is properly zeroed. It wasn't
before, and would contain whatever garbage was left in memory by BIOS
or the bootloader. Since the VVAR page is accessible to user space
this had the potential of information leaks"

magic, they are accessed differently in the kernel, the vsyscall page,
and the vdso, and one of them (vsyscall_clock) doesn't even really
exist.
This changes them all to use a common mechanism. All of them are
delcared in vvar.h with a fixed address (validated by the linker
script). In the kernel (as before), they look like ordinary
read-write variables. In the vsyscall page and the vdso, they are
accessed through a new macro VVAR, which gives read-only access.
The vdso is now loaded verbatim into memory without any fixups. As a
side bonus, access from the vdso is faster because a level of
indirection is removed.
While we're at it, pack jiffies and vgetcpu_mode into the same
cacheline.

The vdso Makefile passes linker-style -m options not to the linker but
to gcc. This happens to work with earlier gcc, but fails with gcc
4.6. Pass gcc-style -m options, instead.
Note: all currently supported versions of gcc supports -m32, so there
is no reason to conditionalize it any more.

The vdso is a piece of userspace code which is supposed to be fully
self-contained. Any external (undefined) reference is an error, and
should be caught at compile time. This was giving us trouble when
compiling with -Os on gcc 4.5.0, for example (failed inline).
The need to do a buildtime check was pointed out by Andi Kleen.

Enable gcov profiling of the entire kernel on x86_64. Required changes
include disabling profiling for:
* arch/kernel/acpi/realmode and arch/kernel/boot/compressed:
not linked to main kernel
* arch/vdso, arch/kernel/vsyscall_64 and arch/kernel/hpet:
profiling causes segfaults during boot (incompatible context)

AMD only supports "syscall" from 32-bit compat usermode.
Intel and Centaur(?) only support "sysenter" from 32-bit compat usermode.
Set the X86 feature bits accordingly, and set up the vdso in
accordance with those bits. On the offchance we run on in a 64-bit
environment which supports neither syscall nor sysenter from 32-bit
mode, then fall back to the int $0x80 vdso.

The 64-bit vDSO's sources are compiled with -g0 for no good reason.
Using -g when enabled lets their separate debug files be used at
runtime via build ID matching, same as we can see 32-bit vDSO's
assembly sources.

Priit Laes discovered that the sed command processing nm output was
sensitive to locale settings. This was addressed in commit
03994f01e8b72b3d01fd3d09d1cc7c9f421a727c by using [:alnum:] in place of
[a-zA-Z0-9].
But that solution too is locale-dependent and may not always match
the identifiers it needs to. The better fix is just to run sed et al
with a fixed locale setting in all builds.

For some locales regex range [a-zA-Z] does not work as it is supposed to.
so we have to use [:alnum:] and [:xdigit:] to make it work as intended.

This makes x86_64's ia32 emulation support share the sources used in the
32-bit kernel for the 32-bit vDSO and much of its setup code.
The 32-bit vDSO mapping now behaves the same on x86_64 as on native 32-bit.
The abi.syscall32 sysctl on x86_64 now takes the same values that
vm.vdso_enabled takes on the 32-bit kernel. That is, 1 means a randomized
vDSO location, 2 means the fixed old address. The CONFIG_COMPAT_VDSO
option is now available to make this the default setting, the same meaning
it has for the 32-bit kernel. (This does not affect the 64-bit vDSO.)
The argument vdso32=[012] can be used on both 32-bit and 64-bit kernels to
set this paramter at boot time. The vdso=[012] argument still does this
same thing on the 32-bit kernel.

This builds the 32-bit vDSO images in the arch/x86/vdso subdirectory.
Nothing uses the images yet, but this paves the way for consolidating
the vDSO build logic all in one place. The new images use a linker
script sharing the layout parts from vdso-layout.lds.S with the 64-bit
vDSO. A new vdso32-syms.lds is generated in the style of vdso-syms.lds.

This patch changes the kernel's references to addresses in the vDSO image
to be based on the symbols defined by vdso-syms.lds instead of the old
vdso-syms.o symbols. This is all wrapped up in a macro defined by the new
asm-x86/vdso.h header; that's the only place in the kernel source that has
to know the details of the scheme for getting vDSO symbol values.

This patch adds a new way of extracting symbols from the built vDSO image.
This is much simpler and less fragile than using ld -R; it removes the
need to control the DSO layout quite so exactly. I was clearly unduly
distracted by clever ld uses when I did the original vDSO implementation.

This keeps an unstripped copy of the 64bit vDSO images built before they are
stripped and embedded in the kernel. The unstripped copies get installed
in $(MODLIB)/vdso/ by "make install" (or you can explicitly use the
subtarget "make vdso_install"). These files can be useful when they
contain source-level debugging information.

The variable CFLAGS is a wellknown variable and the usage by
kbuild may result in unexpected behaviour.
On top of that several people over time has asked for a way to
pass in additional flags to gcc.
This patch replace use of CFLAGS with KBUILD_CFLAGS all over the
tree and enabling one to use:
make CFLAGS=...
to specify additional gcc commandline options.
One usecase is when trying to find gcc bugs but other
use cases has been requested too.
Patch was tested on following architectures:
alpha, arm, i386, x86_64, mips, sparc, sparc64, ia64, m68k
Test was simple to do a defconfig build, apply the patch and check
that nothing got rebuild.
