* [PPC] Remove 85xx from arch/ppcKumar Gala2008-01-281-367/+0
| | | | | | | 85xx exists in arch/powerpc as well as cuImage support to boot from a u-boot that doesn't support device trees. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>

* [PATCH] powerpc: trivial: modify comments to refer to new location of filesJon Mason2006-02-101-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | This patch removes all self references and fixes references to files in the now defunct arch/ppc64 tree. I think this accomplises everything wanted, though there might be a few references I missed. Signed-off-by: Jon Mason <jdmason@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

* ppc: Various minor compile fixesPaul Mackerras2005-10-111-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This fixes up a variety of minor problems in compiling with ARCH=ppc arising from using the merged versions of various header files. A lot of the changes are just adding #include <asm/machdep.h> to files that use ppc_md or smp_ops_t. This also arranges for us to use semaphore.c, vecemu.c, vector.S and fpu.S from arch/powerpc/kernel when compiling with ARCH=ppc. Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] ppc32: Fix configuration of PCI IO space on MPC85xx platformKumar Gala2005-09-221-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | For platforms that don't have PCI IO at 0 the outbound window registers were not being properly configured. Signed-off-by: Andrew Klossner <andrew@cesa.opbu.xerox.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar K. Gala <kumar.gala@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] ppc32: Fix typo in setup of 2nd PCI bus on 85xxKumar Gala2005-07-271-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Typo bug that was using PCI1 defines instead of PCI2 when setting up the second PCI bus controller on 85xx based systems. This hasn't been a real issue since currently the PCI2 sizes are the same as the PCI1 sizes for currently supported boards. Thanks to Andrew Klossner @ Xerox for point this out. | | | | | | | | | | Adds support for using the MPC8548 processor on the CDS reference board. Currently all the major busses (PCI, PCI-X, PCI-Express, sRIO) and eTSEC3 and eTSEC4 are not supported. * [PATCH] ppc iomem annotations: ->io_base_virtAl Viro2005-04-251-7/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | * ->io_base_virt in struct pci_controller is iomem pointer. Marked as such. Most of the places that used it are already annotated to expect iomem. * places that did gratitious (and wrong) casts a-la isa_io_base = (unsigned long)ioremap(...); hose->io_base_virt = (void *)isa_io_base; turned into hose->io_base_virt = ioremap(...); isa_io_base = (unsigned long)hose->io_base_virt; * pci_bus_io_base() annotated as returning iomem pointer. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
