* [PATCH] powerpc: trivial: modify comments to refer to new location of filesJon Mason2006-02-1017-34/+0
| | | | | | | | | This patch removes all self references and fixes references to files in the now defunct arch/ppc64 tree. I think this accomplises everything wanted, though there might be a few references I missed. Signed-off-by: Jon Mason <jdmason@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [SERIAL] uart_port iotype member should use UPIO_*Russell King2006-02-054-7/+7
| | | | | | Convert usage of SERIAL_IO_* to UPIO_*. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] powerpc: Updated platforms that use gianfar to match driverKumar Gala2006-01-136-45/+32
| | | | | | | | | The gianfar driver changed how it required MDIO bus and phy id's to be passed to it. Also, it no longer passes the physical address of the MDIO bus. Instead we have a proper platform device. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

* [PATCH] powerpc: CPM2 interrupt handler failure after 100,000 interruptsEdson Seabra2005-12-201-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | The CPM2 interrupt handler does not return success to the IRQ subsystem, which causes it to kill the IRQ line after 100,000 interrupts. * powerpc: Merge i8259.c into arch/powerpc/sysdevPaul Mackerras2005-10-261-4/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This changes the parameters for i8259_init so that it takes two parameters: a physical address for generating an interrupt acknowledge cycle, and an interrupt number offset. i8259_init now sets the irq_desc[] for its interrupts; all the callers were doing this, and that code is gone now. This also defines a CONFIG_PPC_I8259 symbol to select i8259.o for inclusion, and makes the platforms that need it select that symbol. Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

* | [PATCH] powerpc: Revised merge asm-ppc*/hardirq.hlinuxppc@jdl.com2005-09-212-2/+0
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a revised patch to merge asm-ppc*/hardirq.h. It removes some unnecessary #includes, but then requires the addition of #include <asm/irq.h> in PPC32's hw_irq.h much like ppc64 already does. Furthermore, several unnecessary #includes were removed from some ppc32 boards in order to break resulting bad #include cycles. Builds pSeries_defconfig and all ppc32 platforms except the already b0rken bseip. * [PATCH] ppc32: Add proper prototype for cpm2_reset()Kumar Gala2005-07-273-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Added a proper prototype for cpm2_reset() which gets rid of a build warning. Signed-off-by: Jon Loeliger <jdl@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <kumar.gala@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] ppc32: Fix pointer check for MPC8540 ADS deviceKumar Gala2005-06-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Editor snafu in which the call to ppc_sys_get_pdata got inside the if check instead of before it. Oops. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <kumar.gala@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] ppc32: Check return of ppc_sys_get_pdata before accessing pointerKumar Gala2005-06-254-55/+73
| | | | | | | | | | Ensure that the returned pointer from ppc_sys_get_pdata is not NULL before we start using it. This handles any cases where we have variants of processors on the same board with different functionality. * [PATCH] ppc32: Fix building MPC8555 CDSKumar Gala2005-06-221-0/+1
| | | | | | | | Adding support for MPC8548 w/o PCI support, broke building MPC8555 CDS by trying to remove a loop variable that was used when PCI is enabled. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <kumar.gala@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org)
* [PATCH] ppc32: remove some unnecessary includes of prom.hKumar Gala2005-06-217-7/+0

* [PATCH] ppc32: Clean up NUM_TLBCAMS usage for Freescale Book-E PPC'sKumar Gala2005-06-213-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | Made the number of TLB CAM entries private and converted the board consumers to use num_tlbcam_entries which is setup at boot time from configuration registers. This way the only consumers of the #define NUM_TLBCAMS are the arrays used to manage the TLB. * [PATCH] ppc32: Added support for all MPC8548 internal interruptsKumar Gala2005-06-214-137/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The MPC8548 has 48 internal interrupts and 12 external interrupts. The previous generation PowerQUICC III devices only had 32 internal and 12 external interrupts on the primary interrupt controller. Expanded the number of internal interrupts to 48 for all PowerQUICC III processors and moved the interrupt numbers for the external after the 48 internal interrupt lines, rather than putting the 12 new internal interrupts at the end and ifdef'ng the whole mess. As parted of this created a macro which represents the internal interrupt senses since they are the same on all PQ3 processors. * [PATCH] ppc32: Added preliminary support for the MPC8548 CDS boardKumar Gala2005-06-213-12/+49
| | | | | | | | | | Adds support for using the MPC8548 processor on the CDS reference board. Currently all the major busses (PCI, PCI-X, PCI-Express, sRIO) and eTSEC3 and eTSEC4 are not supported. * [PATCH] ppc32: i8259 PIC should not be initialized if PCI is not configuredKumar Gala2005-05-281-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | Trying to initialize the i8259 PIC will not work if CONFIG_PCI is not enabled. The kernel hangs if the initialization is tried. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <kumar.gala@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] ppc32: Fix building MPC8555 CDS when CONFIG_PCI is disabledKumar Gala2005-05-281-3/+3

* [PATCH] ppc32: Fix some minor issues related to FSL Book-E KGDB supportKumar Gala2005-05-283-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | Some debug registers needed to be initialized early on to allow proper support for KGDB. Additionally, we need to setup the ppc.md_early_serial_map function pointer on boards that have serial support for KGDB. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
