* powerpc: sysdev: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang2014-10-201-1/+0
| | | | | | | A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
* powerpc: make of_device_ids constUwe Kleine-König2014-09-251-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | of_device_ids (i.e. compatible strings and the respective data) are not supposed to change at runtime. All functions working with of_device_ids provided by <linux/of.h> work with const of_device_ids. This allows to mark all struct of_device_id const, too. While touching these line also put the __init annotation at the right position where necessary. * POWERPC: drivers: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman2013-01-031-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. * powerpc/85xx: L2sram - Add compatible string to the device id listTang Yuantian2012-09-121-0/+10
| | | | | | | | The following platforms are supported: mpc8544, mpc8572, mpc8536, p1021, p1025, p1024, p1010. Signed-off-by: Tang Yuantian <Yuantian.Tang@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* powerpc/85xx: Fix sram_offset parameter typeClaudiu Manoil2012-07-261-25/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The sram_offset parameter represents a physical address and should be of type phys_addr_t. As part of this fix, the extraction of sram_params is being cleaned-up and fixed. This patch fixes now the case when the offset value of 0xfff00000 was being rejected by the driver (returning -EINVAL), although this is a valid offset value. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | sram_params.sram_size and sram_params.sram_offset were unsigned. If get_cache_sram_size() or get_cache_sram_offset() returns error code then it is not seen to the caller. Made sram_size and sram_offset signed. * powerpc/85xx: add cache-sram supportHarninder Rai2010-10-141-0/+231
It adds cache-sram support in P1/P2 QorIQ platforms as under: * A small abstraction over powerpc's remote heap allocator * Exports mpc85xx_cache_sram_alloc()/free() APIs * Supports only one contiguous SRAM window * Drivers can do the following in Kconfig to use these APIs "select FSL_85XX_CACHE_SRAM if MPC85xx" * Required SRAM size and the offset where SRAM should be mapped must be provided at kernel command line as : cache-sram-size=<value> cache-sram-offset=<offset> Signed-off-by: Harninder Rai <harninder.rai@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Vivek Mahajan <vivek.mahajan@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
