* powerpc: Convert fsl_rstcr_restart to a reset handlerAndrey Smirnov2016-09-251-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | Convert fsl_rstcr_restart into a function to be registered with register_reset_handler(). Signed-off-by: Andrey Smirnov <andrew.smirnov@gmail.com> [scottwood: Converted mvme7100 as well] Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <oss@buserror.net>
* powerpc: Move 32-bit probe() machine to later in the boot processBenjamin Herrenschmidt2016-07-211-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This converts all the 32-bit platforms to use the expanded device-tree which is a pretty mechanical change. Unlike 64-bit, the 32-bit kernel didn't rely on platform initializations to setup the MMU since it sets it up entirely before probe_machine() so the move has comparatively less consequences though it's a bigger patch. * powerpc: make of_device_ids constUwe Kleine-König2014-09-251-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | of_device_ids (i.e. compatible strings and the respective data) are not supposed to change at runtime. All functions working with of_device_ids provided by <linux/of.h> work with const of_device_ids. This allows to mark all struct of_device_id const, too. While touching these line also put the __init annotation at the right position where necessary. * POWERPC: drivers: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman2013-01-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. * powerpc/fsl-pci: Unify pci/pcie initialization codeJia Hongtao2012-09-121-8/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We unified the Freescale pci/pcie initialization by changing the fsl_pci to a platform driver. In previous PCI code architecture the initialization routine is called at board_setup_arch stage. Now the initialization is done in probe function which is architectural better. Also It's convenient for adding PM support for PCI controller in later patch. Now we registered pci controllers as platform devices. So we combine two initialization code as one platform driver. * powerpc/PCI: move fixup hooks from __init to __devinitSebastian Andrzej Siewior2012-06-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The fixups are executed once the pci-device is found which is during boot process so __init seems fine as long as the platform does not support hotplug. However it is possible to remove the PCI bus at run time and have it rediscovered again via "echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/rescan" and this will call the fixups again. * powerpc/86xx: Renaming following split of GE Fanuc joint ventureMartyn Welch2010-03-041-6/+6
| | | | | | | | This patch renames GE Fanuc boards following the split-up of the GE Fanuc joint venture. These boards are now made by GE Intelligent platorms. Signed-off-by: Martyn Welch <martyn.welch@gefanuc.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* powerpc/86xx: Support for NVRAM on GE Fanuc's PPC9AMartyn Welch2009-11-201-0/+5

* powerpc/86xx: Correct reading of information presented in cpuinfoMartyn Welch2009-08-201-7/+30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | /proc/cpuinfo should be showing the boards revision and the revision of the FPGA fitted. The functions currently used to access this information as incorrect. Additionally the VME geographical address of the PPC9A and it's status as system contoller are available in the board registers. Show these in cpuinfo. * powerpc/86xx: clean up smp init codeKumar Gala2009-05-191-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | Removed the need for asm/mpc86xx.h as it was only used in mpc86xx_smp.c and just moved the defines it cared about into there. Also fixed up the ioremap to only map the one 4k page we need access to and to iounmap when we are done. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* powerpc/86xx: Move gianfar mdio nodes under the ethernet nodesAnton Vorontsov2009-03-241-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently it doesn't matter where the mdio nodes are placed, but with power management support (i.e. when sleep = <> properties will take effect), mdio nodes placement will become important: mdio controller is a part of the ethernet block, so the mdio nodes should be placed correctly. Otherwise we may wrongly assume that MDIO controllers are available during sleep.
