* [POWERPC] Fix CDS IRQ handling and PCI codeAndy Fleming2006-08-232-123/+88
| | | | | | | | | | | | * Fix IRQ support in the 85xx CDS boards so it uses the new generic stuff * Fix PCI IRQ mapping to use the device tree * Disabled i8259 support to allow the CDS to boot. This will be fixed soon, but the current code doesn't even compile, so this is a vast improvement Signed-off-by: Andy Fleming <afleming@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] Fix interrupts on 8540 ADS boardAndy Fleming2006-08-231-107/+55
| | | | | | | | | * Fixed 8540 ADS support for the new irq layer * Fixed 8540 ADS support for mapping PCI interrupts * Updated 8540 ADS to use device tree for interrupt assignment and sense values Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

* [PATCH] 64bit resource: fix up printks for resources in arch and core codeGreg Kroah-Hartman2006-06-271-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is needed if we wish to change the size of the resource structures. Based on an original patch from Vivek Goyal <vgoyal@in.ibm.com> and Andrew Morton. * Add 85xx CDS to arch/powerpcAndy Fleming2006-04-044-1/+411
| | | | | | | This patch adds support for 85xx CDS support to arch/powerpc Signed-off-by: Andy Fleming <afleming@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* powerpc: converted embedded platforms to use new define_machine supportKumar Gala2006-03-301-20/+20
| | | | | | | | | | Removed platform_init usage on 83xx and 85xx and use define_machine and probe(). For now we always return true in the problem since you can only build for one specific board at a time. This is an artificial constraint. When we get ride of it we will need to update the Kconfig's for these sub-arch's and make the board's probe() functions actually do something. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* powerpc: Make uImage default build output for MPC8540 ADSKumar Gala2006-03-271-0/+1
| | | | | | | When we build for the MPC8540 ADS produce a uImage by default. Updated the defconfig to reflect this as well. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* powerpc: Add PCI support for 8540 ADS to powerpc treeAndy Fleming2006-02-215-25/+166
| | | | | | | | Add PCI support for setting PCI from flat device tree on 85xx specifically for MPC8540 ADS. Signed-off-by: Andy Fleming <afleming@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: lindent 85xx platform codeBecky Bruce2006-02-102-29/+19
| | | | | | | Ran arch/powerpc/platforms/85xx through Lindent Signed-off-by: Becky Bruce <becky.bruce@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: rename mpc85xx.c to misc.cBecky Bruce2006-02-102-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | Rename mpc85xx.c to misc.c to match the pattern established by the 8349 port - consistency is a good thing. Also run Lindent on the file to clean it up. * [PATCH] powerpc: mpc85xx_ads.c include file cleanupBecky Bruce2006-02-101-21/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Cut-and-paste from the old platform code in arch/ppc resulted in arch/powerpc/platforms/85xx/mpc85xx_ads.c having way too many header files included. Clean this up. * [PATCH] powerpc: Updated Initial MPC8540 ADS port with OF Flat DevBecky Bruce2006-01-206-66/+329
| | | | | | | | | | Updated patch for support for mpc8540_ads in arch/powerpc with a flat OF device tree. This patch does not yet support PCI or I2C. * ppc: Various minor compile fixesPaul Mackerras2005-10-111-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This fixes up a variety of minor problems in compiling with ARCH=ppc arising from using the merged versions of various header files. A lot of the changes are just adding #include <asm/machdep.h> to files that use ppc_md or smp_ops_t. This also arranges for us to use semaphore.c, vecemu.c, vector.S and fpu.S from arch/powerpc/kernel when compiling with ARCH=ppc. Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* powerpc: Merge enough to start building in arch/powerpc.Paul Mackerras2005-09-261-0/+86
This creates the directory structure under arch/powerpc and a bunch of Kconfig files. It does a first-cut merge of arch/powerpc/mm, arch/powerpc/lib and arch/powerpc/platforms/powermac. This is enough to build a 32-bit powermac kernel with ARCH=powerpc. For now we are getting some unmerged files from arch/ppc/kernel and arch/ppc/syslib, or arch/ppc64/kernel. This makes some minor changes to files in those directories and files outside arch/powerpc. The boot directory is still not merged. That's going to be interesting.
