* powerpc/mpc512x: move common code to shared.c fileGerhard Sittig2013-05-211-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - implement all of the init, init early, and setup arch routines in the shared source file for the MPC512x PowerPC platform, and make all MPC512x based boards (ADS, PDM, generic) use those common routines - remove declarations from header files for routines which aren't referenced from external callers any longer this modification concentrates knowledge about the optional FSL DIU support in one spot within the shared code, and makes all boards benefit transparently from future improvements in the shared platform code the change does not modify any behaviour but preserves all code paths Signed-off-by: Gerhard Sittig <gsi@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Anatolij Gustschin <agust@denx.de>
* powerpc/512x: don't compile any platform DIU code if the DIU is not enabledTimur Tabi2012-12-031-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If the DIU framebuffer driver is not enabled, then there's no point in compiling any platform DIU code, because it will never be used. Most of the platform code was protected in the appropriate #ifdef, but not all. This caused a break in some randconfig builds. This is only a problem on the 512x platforms. The P1022DS and MPC8610HPCD platforms are already correct. This patch reverts commit 12e36309f8774f4ccc769d5e3ff11ef092e524bc ("powerpc: Option FB_FSL_DIU is not really optional for mpc512x") and restores the ability to configure DIU support. * powerpc/5121: shared DIU framebuffer supportAnatolij Gustschin2010-08-011-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | MPC5121 DIU configuration/setup as initialized by the boot loader currently will get lost while booting Linux. As a result displaying the boot splash is not possible through the boot process. To prevent this we reserve configured DIU frame buffer address range while booting and preserve AOI descriptor and gamma table so that DIU continues displaying through the whole boot process. On first open from user space DIU frame buffer driver releases the reserved frame buffer area and continues to operate as usual. * powerpc/mpc5121: avoid using arch_initcall for clock initAnatolij Gustschin2010-02-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Move mpc5121_clk_init() call to platform init code so it won't get called on non-5121 platforms on a multiplatform kernel. Signed-off-by: Anatolij Gustschin <agust@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>

| | | | | | | | | Add a interrupt host for the interrupt controller in the mpc5121ads cpld. PCI interrupts are 0-7 the rest are 8-15 Touchscreen pendown irq is hardwired to irq1 All other irqs are chained to irq0 Signed-off-by: John Rigby <jrigby@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
* powerpc/mpc5121: Add generic board support for MPC5121 platformsJohn Rigby2008-07-121-59/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Move shared code from mpc5121_ads.c to new file mpc512x_shared.c - mpc512x_find_ips_freq -> unchanged - contents of mpc5121_ads_init_IRQ -> mpc512x_init_IRQ - looking for fsl,mpc5121-ipic instead of fsl,ipic - mpc5121_ads_declare_of_platform_devices -> mpc5121_declare_of_platform_devices - and use compatible for lookup instead of node name Add new generic board setup mpc5121_generic.c Signed-off-by: John Rigby <jrigby@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
