* cpufreq: mips: move cpufreq driver to drivers/cpufreqViresh Kumar2013-04-103-294/+0
| | | | | | | | This patch moves cpufreq driver of MIPS architecture to drivers/cpufreq. Signed-off-by: Viresh Kumar <viresh.kumar@linaro.org> Acked-by: John Crispin <blogic@openwrt.org> Signed-off-by: Rafael J. Wysocki <rafael.j.wysocki@intel.com>
* cpufreq: Don't check if cpu is online/offline for cpufreq callbacksViresh Kumar2013-04-021-6/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | cpufreq layer doesn't call cpufreq driver's callback for any offline CPU and so checking that isn't useful. Lets get rid of it. * cpufreq: Notify all policy->cpus in cpufreq_notify_transition()Viresh Kumar2013-04-021-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | policy->cpus contains all online cpus that have single shared clock line. And their frequencies are always updated together. Many SMP system's cpufreq drivers take care of this in individual drivers but the best place for this code is in cpufreq core. This patch modifies cpufreq_notify_transition() to notify frequency change for all cpus in policy->cpus and hence updates all users of this API. * MIPS: Loongson2: Use clk API instead of direct dereferencesJulia Lawall2013-02-151-3/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A struct clk value is intended to be an abstract pointer, so it should be manipulated using the various API functions. clk_put is additionally added on the failure paths. The semantic match that finds the first problem is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression e,e1; identifier i; @@ *e = clk_get(...) ... when != e = e1 when any *e->i // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Cc: kernel-janitors@vger.kernel.org Cc: linux-mips@linux-mips.org, Cc: linux-kernel@vger.kernel.org Patchwork: https://patchwork.linux-mips.org/patch/4751/ Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
* MIPS: Whitespace cleanup.Ralf Baechle2013-02-011-2/+2
| | | | | | | | Having received another series of whitespace patches I decided to do this once and for all rather than dealing with this kind of patches trickling in forever. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
* MIPS: Loongson 2: Sort out clock managment.Ralf Baechle2012-08-013-173/+21
| | | | | | | For unexplainable reasons the Loongson 2 clock API was implemented in a module so fixing this involved shifting large amounts of code around. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>

* MIPS: Loongson 2F: Add CPU frequency scaling supportWu Zhangjin2009-12-174-0/+412
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Loongson 2F supports CPU clock scaling. When put it into wait mode by setting the frequency as ZERO it will stay in this mode until an external interrupt wakes the CPU again. To enable clock scaling support, an external timer of a known stable rate is required. * MIPS: Add basic CPUFreq options.Wu Zhangjin2009-12-171-0/+27
This patch adds basic options for MIPS CPUFreq support. Since the cp0 timer's frequency is based on the processor clockrate it can not be used with CPUFReq; an additional external timer is required.
