* MIPS: BCM47XX: Add Belkin F7Dxxxx board detectionCody P Schafer2014-03-263-0/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a few Belkin F7Dxxxx entries, with F7D4401 sourced from online documentation and the "F7D7302" being observed. F7D3301, F7D3302, and F7D4302 are reasonable guesses which are unlikely to cause mis-detection. * MIPS: BCM47XX: Add detection and GPIO config for Siemens SE505v2Hauke Mehrtens2014-03-262-0/+29
| | | | | | | | | | | | This adds board detection for the Siemens SE505v2 and the led gpio configuration. This board does not have any buttons. This is based on OpenWrt broadcom-diag and Manuel Munz's nvram dump. * MIPS: BCM47XX: Add button and led configuration for some Linksys devicesHauke Mehrtens2014-03-262-0/+60
| | | | | | | | | | | This adds led and button GPIO configuration for Linksys wrt54g3gv2, wrt54gsv1 and wrtsl54gs. This is based on OpenWrt broadcom-diag code. * MIPS: BCM47XX: Detect some more Linksys devicesHauke Mehrtens2014-03-261-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Linksys WRT54G/GS/GL family uses the same boardtype numbers, and the same gpio configuration. The boardtype numbers are changing with the hardware versions, but these hardware numbers are different or each model. Detect them all as one device, this also worked in OpenWrt. * MIPS: Add 1074K CPU support explicitly.Steven J. Hill2014-03-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | The 1074K is a multiprocessing coherent processing system (CPS) based on modified 74K cores. This patch makes the 1074K an actual unique CPU type, instead of a 74K derivative, which it is not. Signed-off-by: Steven J. The patch series describes this core as follows. "The interAptiv is a power-efficient multi-core microprocessor for use in system-on-chip (SoC) applications. The interAptiv combines a multi-threading pipeline with a coherence manager to deliver improved computational throughput and power efficiency. The interAptiv can contain one to four MIPS32R3 interAptiv cores, system level coherence manager with L2 cache, optional coherent I/O port, and optional floating point unit." The platform specific patches touch all 3 Broadcom families. It adds support for the new Broadcom/Netlogix XLP9xx Soc, building a common BCM63XX SMP kernel for all BCM63XX SoCs regardless of core type/count and full gpio button/led descriptions for BCM47xx. The rest of the series are cleanups and bug fixes that are MIPS generic and consist largely of changes that Imgtec/MIPS had published in their linux-mti-3.10.git stable tree. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | So far this is mostly just a proof of concept, database consists of a single device. Creating a nice iterateable array wasn't an option because devices have different amount of LEDs. And we don't want to waste memory just because of support for a device with dozens on LEDs. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The BCM4706 has a problem with the CPU wait instruction. When r4k_wait or r4k_wait_irqoff is used will just hang and not return from a msleep(). Removing the cpu_wait functionality is a workaround for this problem. The BCM4716 does not have this problem. The BCM4706 SoC uses a MIPS 74K V4.9 CPU. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The BCM47xx SoCs have a 8250 serial compatible console at address 0x18000300 and an other at 0x18000400. On most devices 0x18000300 is wired to some pins on the board, we should use that. This is the smae for the AI (bcma) and the SB (ssb) bus, this is some offset on the chip common core. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | bcm47xx only uses the CFE code for early print to a console, but that is also possible with a early print serial 8250 driver. The CFE api init causes hangs somewhere in prom_init_cfe() on some devices like the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 and the Asus WL-520GU. | * | | MIPS: BCM47XX: use fallback sprom var for board_{rev,type}Hauke Mehrtens2013-02-151-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | An SoC normally do not define path variables for board_rev and board_type and the Broadcom SDK also uses the nvram values without a prefix in such cases. Do the same to fill these sprom attributes from nvram and do not leave them empty, because brcmsmac do not like this. | * | | MIPS: BCM47XX: trim the nvram values for parsingHauke Mehrtens2013-02-151-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some nvram values on some devices have a newline character at the end of the value, that caused read errors. | * | | MIPS: BCM47XX: add bcm47xx prefix in front of nvram function namesHauke Mehrtens2013-02-153-10/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The nvram functions are exported and used by some normal drivers. To prevent name clashes with ofter parts of the kernel code add a bcm47xx_ prefix in front of the function names and the header file name. | * | | MIPS: BCM47XX: handle different nvram sizesHauke Mehrtens2013-02-151-7/+39
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The old code just worked for nvram with a size of 0x8000 bytes. This patch adds support for reading nvram from partitions of 0xF000 and 0x10000 bytes. There is just 32KB space for the nvram, but most devices do not use the full size and this code reads the first 32KB in that case and prints a warning.
