* [PATCH] m68knommu: use configurable RAM setup in start up codeGreg Ungerer2006-06-261-72/+10
| | | | | | | | Change to using a configurable RAM setup in startup code. This cleans up the whole RAM base/sizing issue, and removes a lot of board specific code. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: remove unused vars from generic 68328 start codeGreg Ungerer2006-06-261-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | Clean out unused variable definitions from 68328 start up code. Also use a more appropriate start address for the case of relocating the kernel code to RAM (from ROM/flash). Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: remove __ramvec from 68328/pilot start codeGreg Ungerer2006-06-261-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | __ramvec has been removed from the linker script. The vector base address is defined as a configurable option, use that. Remove its use from the 68328/pilot startup code. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: improve syscall entry and fix stracePhilippe De Muyter2006-06-251-26/+20
| | | | | | | | | | | | Here is a patch to the system call handling for 5307/5272/etc to: - fix the strace support (one tested the wrong bit) - make all system calls a little bit faster by inlining set_esp0 and supporting ENOSYS out of the critical path. - remove extraneous spaces Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

* [PATCH] m68knommu: move some platform irq support out of irq.hGreg Ungerer2005-11-071-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Move some of the m68knommu platform specific irq core support to its own header, irqnode.h. Having it in asm-m68knommu/irq.h causes some build pain, since it is included in a number of common code places (and not all the required definitions will be included at these places). Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: handle non base address 0 memory of M5208EVB boardGreg Ungerer2005-11-071-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | The Freescale M5208EVB ColdFire eval board is one of the few that doesn't have its DRAM based at address 0. Handle this special case in the common ColdFire startup code. Patch originally from Matt Waddel. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: modify the ColdFire PIT timer for new 5208Greg Ungerer2005-11-071-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | Modified common ColdFire PIT timer code to support the 5208 as well. It uses a different set of mask and interrupt bits than other ColdFire processors. The defines for these bits have been moved in header files and set appropriately for the different processor varients. Patch originally from Matt Waddel. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

* [PATCH] m68knommu: use the ColdFire PIT timer for new 5208Greg Ungerer2005-11-071-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | The Freescale 5208 ColdFire uses the common PIT timer code for its internal timer. Build it when configured for the 5208 processor. Add support for the internal register map of the 5208 ColdFire fmaily. Patch originally from Matt Waddel (from code originally written by Mike Lavender). Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

* [PATCH] m68knommu: startup code for the Drangen Engine 68328 based boardGreg Ungerer2005-09-121-0/+135
| | | | | | | | | Specialized startup code for the 68328 based DragenEngine board. It doesn't easily fit into the common 68x328 startup code framework. It doesn't want any of the common hardware setup to be done here. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: common RAM based 68360 startup codeGreg Ungerer2005-09-111-0/+408
| | | | | | | | | | Create common start code for all 68360 based platforms that are loaded and run directly from RAM (as opposed to running from flash/ROM). This replaces the old specific startup code for each board. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

| | | | | | | | | Create common start code for all 68360 based platforms that are loaded and run directly from ROM/flash (as opposed to running from RAM). This replaces the old specific startup code for each board. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: extract common timer code for 68EZ328 processorGreg Ungerer2005-09-081-59/+21
| | | | | | | | | Rework the 68x328 configuration and setup code. All 68x328 varients share the same timer hardware. So extract that into its own file, instead of keeping copies in each processors setup code. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: create common timer code for 68x328 processor varientsGreg Ungerer2005-09-081-0/+106
| | | | | | | Create common timer code for all 68x328 processor varients. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: register map setup for MOD5272 boardGreg Ungerer2005-09-081-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | The boot loader on the MOD5272 board doesn't set the register maping, so set it in the 5272 init code. There was code in there to support this, but we had never needed to use it before. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [PATCH] m68knommu: add timer support for the 523x ColdFire processor familyGreg Ungerer2005-09-081-0/+1
| | | | | | | | Add timer support for the ColdFire 523x processor family. (It uses the ColdFire PIT timer hardware, so we just build that in). Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
