* [IA64] Remove sn2_defconfig.Robin Holt2008-08-181-1285/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Not really a patch as much as a remove this file request. Now that generic_defconfig supports all the configurations SGI currently supports and has NR_CPUS and NR_NODES at our largest configurations, we have no reason to maintain the extra defconfig file. | | | | | | | | | | The slab allocator was changed in 2.6.23 to default to SLUB. However, the config files in arch/ia64/configs still use SLAB. Switch them to SLUB. * [IA64] update sn2_defconfigJes Sorensen2006-10-171-44/+175
| | | | | | | | | | | The current sn2_defconfig is obsolete, in particular the recent ATA changes are a pain, so here's a patch to get things in sync ... at least for a day or two :) Update sn_defconfig to match current community kernel tree. * [PATCH] sgiioc4: Always share IRQBrent Casavant2006-07-311-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | The SGI IOC4 IDE device always shares an interrupt with other devices which are part of IOC4. As such, IDEPCI_SHARE_IRQ should always be enabled when BLK_DEV_SGIIOC4 is enabled. * [PATCH] Altix: ioc3 serial supportPatrick Gefre2006-01-141-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add driver support for a 2 port PCI IOC3-based serial card on Altix boxes: This is a re-submission. On the original submission I was asked to organize the code so that the MIPS ioc3 ethernet and serial parts could be used with this driver. Stanislaw Skowronek was kind enough to provide the shim layer for this - thanks Stanislaw. This patch includes the shim layer and the Altix PCI ioc3 serial driver. The MIPS merged ioc3 ethernet and serial support is forthcoming. * [IA64] Updates to the sn2_defconfig for 2.6.15.Robin Holt2005-12-021-43/+109

Greg Edwards reviewed the changes. Signed-off-by: Robin Holt <holt@sgi.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Edwards <edwardsg@sgi.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com>
* [IA64] 4-level page tablesRobin Holt2005-11-111-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch introduces 4-level page tables to ia64. I have run some benchmarks and found nothing interesting. Performance has consistently fallen within the noise range. It also introduces a config option (setting the default to 3 levels). The config option prevents having 4 level page tables with 64k base page size. * [PATCH] update all defconfigs for ARCH_DISCONTIGMEM_ENABLEDave Hansen2005-06-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This will at least suppress one prompt that users would have received the first time they compile with the new DISCONTIG arch option. * [PATCH] ioc4: CONFIG splitBrent Casavant2005-06-211-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The SGI IOC4 I/O controller chip drivers are currently all configured by CONFIG_BLK_DEV_SGIIOC4. This is undesirable as not all IOC4 hardware features are needed by all systems. This patch adds two configuration variables, CONFIG_SGI_IOC4 for core IOC4 driver support (see patch 1/3 in this series for further explanation) and CONFIG_SERIAL_SGI_IOC4 to independently enable serial port support. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
