* ARM: appropriate __init annotation for const dataNicolas Pitre2015-07-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Init data marked const should be annotated with __initconst for correctness and not __initdata. In some cases the array gathering references to that data has to be marked const as well. This fixes LTO builds that otherwise fail with section mismatch errors. * ARM: shmobile: Remove FSF address from copyright headersLaurent Pinchart2014-10-271-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The information is already included in the COPYING file in the kernel sources root directory, we don't want to modify all source files when the FSF will move to a new address, and I'm tired of seeing the related checkpatch.pl warnings. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | No more device needs to be added from platform code when booting the reference platform, move MTU2 registration from setup-r7s72100.c to board-genmai.c and remove the now empty r7s72100_add_dt_devices() function. Among the bigger ones: - Removal of Samsung s5pc100 and s5p64xx platforms. Both of these have lacked active support for quite a while, and after asking around nobody showed interest in keeping them around. If needed, they could be resurrected in the future but it's more likely that we would prefer reintroduction of them as DT and multiplatform-enabled platforms instead. - OMAP4 controller code register define diet. They defined a lot of registers that were never actually used, etc. - Move of some of the Tegra platform code (PMC, APBIO, fuse, powergate) to drivers/soc so it can be shared with 64-bit code. This also converts them over to traditional driver models where possible. - Removal of legacy gpio-samsung driver, since the last users have been removed (moved to pinctrl) Plus a bunch of smaller changes for various platforms that sort of dissapear in the diffstat for the above. clps711x cleanups, shmobile header file refactoring/moves for multiplatform friendliness, some misc cleanups, etc" * tag 'cleanup-for-3.17' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (117 commits) drivers: CCI: Correct use of ! and & video: clcd-versatile: Depend on ARM video: fix up versatile CLCD helper move MAINTAINERS: Add sdhci-st file to ARCH/STI architecture ARM: EXYNOS: Fix build breakge with PM_SLEEP=n MAINTAINERS: Remove Kirkwood ARM: tegra: Convert PMC to a driver soc/tegra: fuse: Set up in early initcall ARM: tegra: Always lock the CPU reset vector ARM: tegra: Setup CPU hotplug in a pure initcall soc/tegra: Implement runtime check for Tegra SoCs soc/tegra: fuse: fix dummy functions soc/tegra: fuse: move APB DMA into Tegra20 fuse driver soc/tegra: Add efuse and apbmisc bindings soc/tegra: Add efuse driver for Tegra ARM: tegra: move fuse exports to soc/tegra/fuse.h ARM: tegra: export apb dma readl/writel ARM: tegra: Use a function to get the chip ID ARM: tegra: Sort includes alphabetically ARM: tegra: Move includes to include/soc/tegra ...

* | platform: Remove most references to platform_bus devicePawel Moll2014-07-231-1/+1
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A number of board files in arch/arm and arch/unicore32 explicitly reference platform_bus device as a parent for new platform devices. This is unnecessary, as platform device API guarantees that devices with NULL parent are going to by adopted by the mentioned "root" device. This patch removes or replaces with NULL such references. * ARM: shmobile: r7s72100: Switch to new style MTU2 deviceLaurent Pinchart2014-05-111-17/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | The MTU2 (Multi-Function Timer Pulse Unit 2) driver implements a new style of platform data that handles the timer as a single device with multiple channel. Switch from the old-style platform data to the new-style platform data. * ARM: shmobile: r7s72100: Declare SCIF register base and IRQ as resourcesLaurent Pinchart2013-12-241-6/+14
| | | | | | | | Passing the register base address and IRQ through platform data is deprecated. Use resources instead. Signed-off-by: Laurent Pinchart <laurent.pinchart+renesas@ideasonboard.com> Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <horms+renesas@verge.net.au>
* ARM: shmobile: r7s72100: Don't define SCIF platform data in an arrayLaurent Pinchart2013-12-241-27/+22
| | | | | | | | | | | The SCIF driver is transitioning to platform resources. Board code will thus need to define an array of resources for each SCIF device. This is incompatible with the macro-based SCIF platform data definition as an array. Rework the macro to define platform data as individual structures. * ARM: shmobile: r7s72100 SCIF supportMagnus Damm2013-10-081-0/+45
| | | | | | | | | | | Add SCIF serial port support to the r7s72100 SoC by adding platform devices for SCIF0 -> SCIF7 together with clock bindings. DT device description is excluded at this point since such bindings are still under development.
